Do you put 2 spaces after a punctuation mark?

I know I do. I consider myself well-written, so I'm disturbed to read I might be wrong on this one.

That's how i was taught, two spaces. Never heard of anyone being taught different.

APA says 2 spaces. MLA says 1 or 2 are both cool. 2 is really just an extra press of a button but it's never wrong.

Indent 5 to begin a paragraph but since even the old people don't use typewriters any more, only one space after punctuation.

from what i hear, me and other old ppl use 2...if you use 1 then you are young....but i'm not worth fucking up the english language with one less space just to look young

It's 2 spaces, but I never do it. I prefer the look of one space. I also never indent paragraphs, because I prefer the look. Either way on both is okay.

I also spell "realize" r-e-a-l-i-z-e not r-e-a-l-i-s-e, though I know "realise" is the proper spelling. Being overly proper with grammar, when it doesn't make sense is for the brits.

americanization uses ise instead of the English (as in England) ize. Canada follows England.

As well, Americans use color honor neighbor vs colour etc.

for March 6, 2015 Americans go 3/6/15 whereas British is always ddmmyy 6/3/15

Americans and Canucks use ize, the brits use ise, and claim that we are ruining the language, even though ize comes from greek which has been in use longer than ise.

That was my initial reaction but that second article in particular has some meat to its argument.

I was always taught 2 and that's how I do it and probably how I always will. Whatever. It's so second nature now cause I type so fast that I'll never change that muscle memory.
