...and degens the world over would have laughed their ass off at the bellowing guy while the rest of the planet wondered what the hell my malfunction was.
Duke -5.5 & Duke -4.5 (bought a point) was the last leg of 2 parlays for me for $513 so I hedged $125 on Utah +6 (bought the half point).
Frickin glorious. Not so much so when dude bricked the first freethrow but...top 5 most thrilling (agonizing then amazing) conclusions for me over whats now a 30+ year history of playing square parlays. I know, lame...parlays but the hope of involvement in just such a conclusion is why I throw $$ at these square plays.
I'm sure there were a FEW guys in the arena that knew the massive importance of those freethrows lol. Wish Al Michaels was calling the game lol....I'd have loved to hear his commentary at the end of that one lmfao...he'd have had some "interesting" stuff to say, in the "undercover" way he interjects Vegas Line-commentary.
Footballs the only sport that interests me enough to warrant wading into the cesspool that is the internet for "discussion" so offseason I am, with rare exception, not even online. The Tournament is an exception, thus did I pop back in (Dook ending demanded this lol).

i really don't know what happened here as everyone is talking about cause i didn't see it so if someone can explain to me what happened id appreciate it,......also i can't see a casino being able to put up a final score that is false,.....there's only 1 final score and that has to be at every sportsbook for sure

Duke up by 5, line most had was Duke -5.5 3 seconds left Utah misses 3-point try Duke gets the rebound Utah basically with no hope to win now, Duke bettors screwed, gonna lose by a half Utah trapped Duke player with the ball (Quinn Cook) Utah Utes trying to slap ball outta Cook's hands...remarkably no foul.... clock ticking down 1.7...1.6...1.5...1.4 tick tick tick time is fucking passing really slowly like a timewarp thousands of Duke bettors are screaming at TVs all across the country "foul his ass %$@&%*!!!" despite the fact there'd have been really no point in Utah doing that, Cook manages to escape the 2 or 3 Utes surrounding him dribble dribble SLAP across his arm from a Ute (foul) but time has expired, Duke players celebrate, coaches shake hands Utes leave the floor and are gone.
Foul happened with .7 seconds on the clock. Technically, like, if it's the intention of the refs that the game be played by the rules Quinn Cook needs to shoot 2 free throws (Duke in Double Bonus) but for several minutes it doesn't seem ("feel") like thats whats gonna happen Utes have left the floor, the game is "over" seems like the refs are just gonna call it.
TV announcer even says "Thats it, the game is over"...after discussion amongst him and his announcer buddy about the fact that Cook should shoot FTs...announcer says "Game Is Over" as though he has seen some indication from the floor that the refs have called it.
Next immediate camera shot is of Ref at the scoring table leaning over saying some brief something then turning around and heading back out to the floor Utes are made to return to the floor, Cook is sent to the line and theres massive rejoicing in houses, bars, apartments, casinos and cars all over USA as Cook is 89.6% FT shooter (season) & 6 for 6 from the line in this game.
Cook misses the first freethrow. Oh God. One wonders if he understands the importance of his making this next one. Here it comes...swish.
Duke covers by .5 me personally I push my hedge bet which...arguably I shoulda bought a full point cuz settling for the 1/2pt. buy and solid +6 with the Utes was just buying into a push but whatever....
Moreso if the numbers had been flipped, betting percentages....%'s on Utah % on Duke -5.5/-5....not sure what % was on Duke but I've gathered the impression that it was pretty lopsided towards Duke so....a bad beat for The Man, finally. We need more of these....bad beats for The House. At least 2 a week. Damn Nice to have the bookieman take the bad beat for a change.
