What do you believe is the single, biggest problem/issue in America right now? Something that's holding back the country or maybe a path to destruction...

let's not turn this into a Poly forum argument either

lots of problems but the biggest one I see daily is the "entitlement" that everyone has for themselves. They expect something for nothing... respect, promotions, money, etc. No work ethic, just lazyness and expecting it all to be done for or given to them

Demonization and intolerance of groups or of opinions that someone doesn't share. Alll (fill in the blank)are (fill in the blank), etc. Until we get to a point where there is no discrimination based on anything, we're going to be held back as a society.

Lack of Self-Responsibility.... To much finger pointing and the blame game.

Now we negotiate with terrorists, take threats from North Korea, let Somali pirates act like they are actually human, invite everyone in the country no matter what, go out of way to support that Chinese grocery, and I could go on and on

All of the above are great answe®s and problem, but i would have to say the feeling of intitlement has to be the biggest, it has caused a group of people to just not try to advance in life, and I think it will only get worseif we keep feeding and clothing them

Why is this country so scared to nuke people? They would do it to us in a second if they had the ability to do it. If the Soviet Union thought they could get away with it, you don't think they would have?

China is the new Soviet Union. Let India and Pakistan fight it out, we are better with both of them dead and their militaries gone.

Get rid of Isis? We know where they are at. That entire region should not be alive. I don't care about the local merchant who makes 5 cents a day. In Iraq, those fuckers would have a 5 year walk to you with a bomb attached to her.

The millenials are the next biggest problem. I've talked about them before. They are horrible. It is all about red bull, gaming, and apps with them.

Too much government is a huge problem, but that is just a symptom.

Generally speaking, ignorance. We now have 2 full generations of Americans that have been pushed through our education system who have no understanding at all of science, history, or economics. The three pillars of any robust education have been completely watered down or eliminated in any meaningful sense. The outcome of this is that we have a tens of millions of adults walking around who believe in dumb slogans (unemployment benefits create jobs! Climate change! tax cuts for the rich!! Wall Street fat cats!!) and who literally have no clue how the real world works.

I would argue this outcome is part of a deliberate strategy, but that is a topic for another time. Sadly, this trend is now institutionalized and irreversible. America is well on her way to permanent decline and can not be turned around. The fall won't take place as quickly as something that happened with the Communist countries in Eastern Europe. Rather, it will be a long term stagnation followed by deep declines in our standards of living and then armed conflict to resolve differences.

Enjoy the ride. It is going to pretty much suck.

I think I'll quit working and sign up for Obamacare.
Being a male I don't qualify for welfare, any ideas how I can get a free ride?

I agree. College Educations unless in a specialty are worthless. Yet many good jobs, the first requirement will be a college degree; doesn't matter what it is in. I see it everyday.

I don't owe a dime in student loans, but what a scam. Most are just financing a giant party. I hope they never get paid.
