Cloverleaf $500 To Win CFB Invitational

CFB season is months away but I want to sponsor an invitational contest that hopefully helps the forum with winning picks. I will pay $500 to the winning poster. Details we will all work out...but all games will be selected from the Saturday schedule. No more than three games per Saturday.

I hope to bribe JOH with $2 dollars to monitor this thing. JOH is the BEST on the net...so no BS or doubts from anyone.

Will be fun and hopefully profitable for the RX Forum with lots of winning picks.

OK so it's not like 15 of us gotta pony up a nickel apiece -- winner take all.

If you would like to hear a suggestion, get a sponsoring book to ante up some prizes for a minimum deposit to a
wagering account for contestants to qualify. You would be surprised how many shops would gladly swoop on the
opportunity to have their name in lights for a whole season compared to the cost of sponsoring a few links and a
display ad. The only hitch is that you would need to open up the contest to as many as 40 or 50 players. Also, and
this may only be my opinion, if you limited it to only Rx old-timers and active off-season posters, it is possible that
lots of seasonal posters and lurkers would feel put off and that might not be a good thing for business, posted picks
or not.

Been there done that -- however I do like the idea of having a contest right here in the CFB forum. Great idea,

CL, sounds like a plan...but you know how this place is in the fall. Every dickhead in the world comes on here with their winning picks! Our threads discussing stats, trends, unusual scores, etc gets lost 3 pages back!

But, I'll save you some trouble and you can just send me the cash now!!

clover, I appreciate the invitation, but I'll be busy trying to make picks for our paying customers on my website this fall. But I'll be over here lurking. I hope you guys can make it through all of the drudge that starts in here come football season...

I think that you have an excellent idea my friend. Whether we agree or disagree, the posters who are here on a year round basis deserve this type of contest. The 15 or so of us are the posters that keep this site alive during the off season. I will be glad to be a contestant and hope that everyone who is named does the same. GO, I can see your point about a conflict of interest, so if you do not opt to participate, I fully understand.

I have looked at those early numbers week #1 and Michigan +3 1/2 sticks out... Harbaugh will turn that thing around fast. They had some decent ball players but Hoke was the worst coach in Big... I now give that honor to Iowa. It amazes me that guy still has a job there...Michigan wins that game straight up imo ..

I believe theRX CFB forum provides the best year around football chatter/information on the net. Even the off season is better than most others during the football season. This contest is all about the guys who make this place the best. I'll add to the list as we go and then in early August provide the details. Should be fun and hopefully provide some winners for the forum.

**TheRX also has a college football buy in contest sponsored by Betallsports and run by JOH. It is a great contest and professionally run....worth looking into once the season gets here.

Guys, when you are posting and making picks, it would help if you tell us the entire line, like Michigan +3 1/2 at Utah, so we do not have to go find the lines at some offshore site. As far as that line is concerned, I think Utah puts a whipping on Michigan. I do not think Harbaugh gets very far this season. I also like UNC +7 1/2 vs South Carolina in Charlotte.

Men, if I can get JON to run this thing...there will be no questions about lines, or anything else.

Each player will select from a menu...in other words...games will be posted say Thursday with lines.

Each player would select their picks with a deadline. JON is a pro at this stuff.

Perhaps we should have two different college football sub-forums. One for the 20 or so people who contribute all year, and the other for the rest of the fools who come in here shooting their mouths off trying to impress who knows who with their B.S. What I love is the number of liars who come in here and never wager a penny. How worthless are those people? Let's start a sub-forum just for them so they do not clutter up this sub-forum and we can get information.
