When I was in bootcamp the mess hall had one of those Ice cream machines, but we weren't allowed to go near it. Rumor had it that once we got to third phase we got to eat the ice cream. When we got to third phase one of the recruits had the balls to ask if he could have ice cream. The drill instructor calmly said sure, and gave him a huge glass and told him to fill it up to the top. When he came back 5 DI's jumped on him, counting down he had seconds to empty the cup. Poor kid hit the floor after eating it and they resuscitate him with CPR.
The last two weeks of boot camp I was bragging to some recruits how I'd never been IT'd and how I'd probably be first Marine to go through boot camp without being IT'd. I'd been to the pit and IT'd with the platoon but never in the classroom. Someone ratted me out, the DI called me to the classroom the very next day grilling me about it. I got IT'd 24/7 the last two weeks, and the DI said now I could say I was the only Marine to get IT's in his alphas on graduations day. Good times.

Rememeber the first aid class we sat through for a day? The stop the bleeding, restore the breathing etc?
Well, I thought that class was a great time to write my girlfriend a letter which is bad enough in itself with Drill Instructors roaming around. Well, I also thought I would write how much of a DICK one of my DI's was. I didn't stop there. I went on to write how he probably got his ass kicked in high school and on and on. Well, guess what? The very DI that I was writing about confiscated my note. fuck!!! I was freaking the fuck out. Lol. He read it right there and said "BOURN, you're ass is mine boy!" I was like fuck. Anyway, he never did anything about it. I think he got a huge kick out of it with the other DI's.
I also in the last 2 weeks had someone send me a Playboy. The Senior DI taped up all the pictures in their office/room whatever in the barracks. Thought that was kind of cool

You got lucky.
My DI during pull ups, would pull out a sharpie and write KILL on the chest of anyone who couldn't do at least 15. When we'd get back for hygiene inspection those guys got killed, the bigger it was written the more they got it.
At night before taps we had to fill our canteen and down it in a few seconds as the DI counted down, and what ever was left you had to dump over your head and go to bed wet. I would pretend it was beer and never had a problem. One kid used to not put water in it and just pretend he was drinking. He eventually got caught, and the DI smacked him in the head with the canteen and blood came gushing out. We were all told to turn and face the wall, kid came back with stitches the next day, claimed he hit his head on his bunk, never ratted the DI out.
