his name is 21 year old Jordan Spieth.

What a performance in the best golf tournament in the world!!!

(Kudos to Spieth's caddie...A+ by him...it's obvious the trust and bond between the two)

Augusta allows players to spray the ball, let me know when he wins a US Open which is the best golf tournament and the truest test of golf in the world

I agree Clover. He may not be top dawg as Tiger was in his prime, but he and Rory are going to be great to watch battle for the next 10 years. As a huge golf fan and player, the on the course smarts of this kid is brilliant. I wish I was wearing a green jacket at 21.

I thought Rory was Sheriff and EA Sports obviously already knows this as well..........He still finished 4th.............That's impressive considering he was going for his 3rd Major Win in a row........Speith showed good demeanor (I'll give him that), but overall golf game I see more greatness in Rory as in I would rather have his golf game.

Good young kid golf needs right now and he came through. Great golf!!

Rory is #1 ranked player in the world...no one disputes that. The young kid just moved to number two, I think.

Gosh, he did it at the Masters...anyone can win at that "SPRAY" golf course. That's an idiot dumbshit who has never
walked the greens in Augusta.

Where do these fucken dumbasses come from?

Doesn't look like a NEW Sheriff, it looks like 2 Sheriffs ! We must not forget that not only has
Rory won the 2 previous Majors but He played by far the best golf in the last 45 holes of this years Masters to finish 4 th ! Should be a fierce battle between Rory and Jordan in coming years. Hopefully We have battles like the old Palmer/Player/ Casper battles of years ago !

Winning Augusta was "HUGE" for anyone, especially someone so young as Spieth.

I watched every minute of the tournament...Jordan's caddie deserves a lot of credit. The dude was amazing. He was like a brother to Jordan during the tournament. They talked, encouraged, smiled, RELIED on each other for all four rounds. I didn't see the same bond with other player caddies.

Hell, some players acted like they didn't know or trust their caddies. Some pretty sad. Yes, I can name them.

Don't forget about Patrick Reed.....I like his style.....

Spieth and Reed gave us a glimpse of greatness in last year's Ryder Cup....

Feel free to tell me where I was wrong in my post. There is no rough whatsoever. There is hardly any penalty for not hitting it in the fairway. Yes the greens are fast and undulating, and you have to hit your approach to the right part of the green, but the same can be said about the greens for most US Opens

So this kid goes 66/68/70/70 at August National, wins by 4 with three major champions directly behind him(two who have won "the truest test in golf" and the other has the most runner-up finishes in the history of the US Open), while setting the 36, 54 and 72 hole scoring record and you cut it down with a comment on spraying the ball and the US Open being the "truest" test. I realize he's only won one major championship, and he has a long way to go to overtake Rory as world number 1, but give the kid some credit for going wire to wire at the Masters to become world number 2 at 21 years old.

Looks like Rory & Spieth could be 1-2 for quite sometime... Early US Open odds has them both 1-2...Probably be like that odds wise for the forseeable future...

I liked the way this "kid" kept his composure throughout the tournament, especially on the last day. Looks like he could become the next Tiger Woods. He should be around for a long time.

Key par save on 18th on Saturday. He could have hit a bucket of balls there and not saved that par more than the one time. The time that mattered though. If he bogies or deuces 18 there, could have made all the difference. Great recovery. (with a lot of luck....which is part of the game)

You should go to any round and walk the course next year. TV doesn't do justice to the difficulty of the course. It played really soft this year, and Jordan went off, but this course is tough. The way these players have to move the ball off the tee boxes is unbelievable. If the rough was grown to US Open standards it would be impossible to score. It also creates an opportunity for these guys to use their imagination instead of just hitting the ball a long way. There is not one flat stance on the fairways either, so if you play golf you know how a ball above or below your feet can make hitting the approach shot tough. Best tournament of the year hands down. Hopefully one day you can visit the course and you will change your mind.
