Reds/Cubs under 7.5 runs (-120) Leake vs Lester

You won't be seeing much by me but when you do, it means business.

Lester won't be on such a strict pitch count like he was on opening night against the Cardinals. He won't have any problem taking care of Billy Hamilton along with the fact there's some K's to be had in the middle of lineup with Byrd and Bruce which means the Reds offense will be held in check tonight. Don't expect the Cubs offense to explode off Leake either. Wrigley field isn't Coors Field especially in April but many of you should already know that.

No problem with Hamilton..... since he is not in the line-up.

Summer like weather/wind conditions.

Needed MORE patience OR another screen name to start touting.

The pitching match-up with that total left no doubt this was not cool spring conditions.

Over in the 1st inning. Don't need patience when that happens

Not the most ideal way to open up here. There should be cause for concern for Jon. Those were decent rips off him last night in a lineup he should of had a far more easier time mowing down. Beginning to think 6 years 155 million wasn't the best of investments.

Marlins +104 at Braves Koehler vs Cahill 5D

Many guys do pitch well at Turner Field but getting plus money on a guy in Koehler who has a proven record of pitching well there screams value to me. Trevor Cahill will make his debut for the Atlanta Braves. He posted a 5.61 ERA in 25 starts last season with the D-Backs and I don't expect too much to change even though he's in a much more friendly pitchers park now. It doesn't erase the fact the D-Backs still paid more than half of Cahill's 12 million dollar salary just to get rid of him which tells me all I need to know. No mechanic change will solve this kid.

Cahills fip and xfip were almost 2 points lower than his ERA last year. Also the Braves don't acquire garbage pitchers.

Los Angeles Angels -113 at Texas Rangers Santiago vs Ranaudo Heritage Sports

Even though Hector Santiago took the loss in his opening start against the Royals, he pitched fairly decent. Allowing only 3 runs on 6 hits with just one walk through a 5 and a third has proven to be more impressive (to me at least) because as we've come to find out, the Royals are playing on a completely different level right now. Anthony Ranuado gets the start for Texas because Derek Holland made his way to the DL. What we do know about this 25 year old is he loves to throw a lot of fastballs and I don't think that's the best recipe against an Angels team who boasts one or a few of the best fastball hitters in the game, especially an Angels team who got embarrassed the night before (8-2).

Minnesota Twins vs Kansas City Royals under 7.5 runs (-110) 5D Millone vs Vargas

Actually opened up at 8.5 overnight and bet down to 7.5 and even though I'm getting the worst of it, I completely agree with the move. One major reason why it was bet down to 7.5 is the fact Royals starting pitcher Jason Vargas was 3-0 with a 0.96 ERA against the Twins last season and given the fact this Twins offense is just as bad as last season if not worse, this is a bet that should most likely cash. Twins starter Tommy Milone looked spectacular to open up his season against the White Sox (7.2 IP 0ER 7 SO'S) and I expect that to continue today especially against a one weak bottom of the order.
