By waiting until then to finaly admit that "yes" AH was there at the time of the shooting, they negated all their cross examinations.. And protests that "we don't know whose tire tracks, footprint could be, certainly not our client". W/O that I believe there was a chance for a not guilty at best, or a hung jury. Just my humble opinion.
Jury's are such a joke to begin with. Most people will just go along with everyone else so they can get the hell out of there. On trials like this, arent jurors not allllowed to have phones, are sequestered to hotel rooms etc. Basically have no contact with a TV or their families. I've been on 2 jury's. Only 1 was a hardcore life sentence crime and alot of those guys just were like "yeah I feel ya". On 1 jury, I couldn't help but stare at this girls

And isn't there an ongoing investigation going on in the Gainsville, FL murders? He better hope they don't find anything since Florida has the death penalty. They are pretty much like Texas, they won't hesitate to kill you..
Much of how the jurors react to a trial is dependent on how good the defense team is and how much circumstantial evidence is involved.
