It is astounding how, I'm not sure how to put it, stupid the general public is? Uber app is about as simple as you can get, and you will have CEO's want to argue with you on how it works. It's not real difficult, you e-i-t-h-e-r type your address in, or drop the pin if you're a moron. You'd be surprised by the amount of idiots that keep doing the same thing over, and over getting the same result, then...............keep telling you about it!

I've had dipshits swear up and down there is no where to type a address. If you have 20/60 vision, you can clearly see it on the app. I swear I worry about this next generation, it is almost scary.

I'm a firm believer that 90% of the population is lacking in common sense.

A cab here is $4 Base, $2.20 a mile, not sure of the min. Uber fares have been cut to $1.05 a mile, 1.40 base and .18c a min. We are talking 50% less than cabs! Then you will have a passenger telling you they should have taken a cab when it was a 2x Surge, saying how ridiculous it is. I'm like, " HELLO MORON! you are still less than a cab!" With lower fares, we are getting the bus riders now. And, OH BOY! What a treat this breed is!

I got my own system down to manipulate the surge, where it is still profitable. But dealing with every walk of life is taking it's toll! I can see why cabbies are pissed! lol

I had a 55 year old women piss all over my back seat on St. Paddy's day, 55 years old! Had to be Ckids old lady

Amen! Bigbet. I also drive for Uber and the idiots are not just the drunks late at night. It could be entertaining at times but it could also get old very quick.

You mean like guys who try hair brained investment schemes that fail and then have to resort to
hauling around other knuckleheads for a living.

I know what you mean.##)

Do you really have to have a 2006 car or better to do this? Their website says you do, but I just have a simple 2004 car.

Was Baking and decorating Cakes that bad? Just wondering why you'd leave that trade for a 55 year old lady pissing in your Car.

Part time, not bad. Depending on what days you drive. I don't do nights, but know some guys will do $300-$400 on Friday and Saturday nights, so $600-800 over a weekend.

Use code 30SWA WHEN you sign up and we both get $300 on your 20th trip

Thanks man! Appreciate that. That sounds pretty good...I'm definitely serious about this. Friday and Saturday night will work for me.

A little O/T but I knew someone who was a limo driver. He said it is 1 of the more depressing jobs you can have, just see a lot of the bad sides of humanity.

Men cheating on their wives with hookers, women cheating on their husbands, etc and you are just sort of complicit in it. I guess over time that can be a little eye opening.

How about dress code for Uber? I had a friend who was a limo driver as well and he was asked to wear a tux at times.

Wear what ever makes you comfortable to drive in for hours. Im always in shorts and a tshirt when its warm. Pax don't care what you wear. All they care about is that the car is clean and that you know your way around your city. On Opening day I wore my Tribe Jersey!

A buddy of mine owns a Limo company in Rhode Island and I drove for him years ago. It was kinda fun to be honest with you.
He had a few corporate accounts and the money was the easiest I've ever earned.
