That changes everything.
I would always be gambling that my 2nd shot will be better then my first.
Then I would be gambling that my 3rd shot would be better then my second.
C'mon. Would still lose by at least 10-15 strokes over a full 18. These guys bury 8-12 foot putts. Even if we both got on in the same number of strokes I am still not making a 15 foot putt with three tries at it and he is sinking his. Also any par 5 he's probably on in two and I'm in a bunker.
It would only be competitive on a par 3 course because at best, he birdies every hole. With 3 shots, alot here could probably get on the green on tee shot. Then have 3 chances to sink long put and he wouldn't birdie every hole anyway. would prob. still lose but better discussion than a real course.
I'm a very average golfer. Im content with a round in the 80s and that's on pretty simple courses. And that's never playing the ball "down."
If given two mulligans per shot, I think Spieth would easily beat me by double digits. Especially if we are playing a PGA Tour quality couse under PGA Tour conditions (fast greens, tall rough, playing ball as it lies, etc.).
