Not sure what to think about it. I can see both sides. The cops are definitely taking advantage of young scared kids. Then again if you don't have confidential informants, I'm not sure how much success they'll have curbing drug sales. I'm probably more "anti drugs" than 95% of this board though.
The fact that it is purely driven by an attempt to get federal grant money (i.e., pay their own salaries) is what makes it pretty damn shady.
