It seems as if every time Tennessee has a shot to finally get their program in gear, something like this happens to screw things up. Having said that, I do not think that this will be a huge loss. QB Josh Dobbs will either make or break this team this season. They have a lot of starters returning, but need a QB.

Yeah he's done at UT. Maybe he ends up like at Oklahoma (like Lynn McGruder) or Oregon (like Onterrio Smith) after he's run out of Knoxville.

Sucks tho. We only have 3 five star WR the team . He would have provided some depth.

I think he would have provided more than depth. He had 38 grabs and scored 5 times last year. And that didn't even include the OU game in which he was injured and didn't play. Personally I would be glad to have him at OU, rapist and all. Just play him until he rapes again, then throw him out. Anyway he'll probably end up at FSU. They'll take anybody there. And you have to kill somebody in broad daylight in front of 50 witnesses to get thrown off that team...

Tennessee just does not have the recruiting power that other SEC teams have. They are always going to play second fiddle to Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Florida, and other SEC teams.

Maybe the most ignorant statement ever.

Explain how Tennessee has had more players drafted in the NFL drafts history than any of those teams?

Between 2004-2013 LSU, UGA, Alabama, Florida, Auburn and South Carolina all hard more guys drafted than Tennessee. Not sure that Tennessee's success in the 90s is going to resonate with kids who were either in diapers or not alive when Tennessee beat FSU for the Natty.

newsflash:college football is cyclical.

Since the inception of rivals those schools average recruiting ranking are:
LSU 7.6
UGA 7.9
Florida 8.3
Alabama 11.3
Tennessee 13.2

The incredible thing is that coincides with the worst 10 years in the history of Tennessee football and Tennessee is still right there within 5 spots in these subjective rankings. Its also happened to be the best 10 year run for both LSU and Florida with both Nick Saban and Urban Meyer establishing themselves as 2 of the best coaches of all time add in Mark Richts stability at UGA and its incredible the Vols have kept it so close.

Why cut off at 10 years? In the last 2 years only Alabama has out recruited Tennessee.

I can't deny Tennessee has sucked on the field recently. I'll admit that. But anyone who doesn't know Tennessee is a recruiting juggernaut doesn't know recruiting.

It goes back to 2004 because that was the beginning of the BCS era.

Exactly. It is not about how good the recruits may be. It is about how well the Coaching Staff's canbring these kids along, and so far, Tennessee's coaching staffs over the years have failed miserably. If you really think that Tennessee is a recruiting "Juggernaut", you are out of your feeble mind. Alabama is a recruiting juggernaut. USC is a recruiting juggernaut. Ohio State is a recruiting juggernaut. Tennessee is an also ran.

who cares?

you second tier fools still dont get it. this is what separates then bluebloods from the one hit wonders. a team like Texas,Oklahoma, Alabama,Tennessee, Notre Dame , OSU can have a 10 year down cycle and will always come back big. Inferior brands like Boise,Oregon or TCU will never have that. Maybe a good 5 year run like SMU or BYU then back to irrelevance. Its not fair, its just how it as. im a Reds fan and i can accept the Reds and Pirates will always be lesser than the Red Sox and Yankees. Sure some seasons we may play better but we just dont have the brand, the money, the resources to compete with them long term

Its like a guy from Burger King asking a McDonalds executive "who cares about your quality when your sales are down?" You just dont fucking get it, and thats exactly why you will always be Burger King.

Your problem is that Tennessee is a second tier team and you know it, so stop dishing out the B.S. I can name you at least 15 teams that have always been superior to Tennessee.

By the way, since 1936, Your "Blueblood" Tennessee team has won 2 National Championships, placing them in a tie for 20th place overall.

Blatant lie. Once again. I state facts you state a lie.

Name 19 teams that have more titles since 1936 than Tennessee or admit you lied.

Look,I enjoy talking football but you are retarded guy. You either straight up lie or rant like a bored child in his parents basement. You just make things up. I know I'm combative and press people's buttons but I just state facts and truths.
