He will make the playoffs within his first couple of years even with the shit team that drafts him.

There I said it

What's not to love about him? Samoan? System offense in college that has never produced a skilled player in the NFL? Read option? throwing to open holes? throwing to first read or running? I may trade 6 first round picks for him. When you take a qb top 5, you basically have to do it knowing he can single handed win for you. Because afterall, there is a reason you have the 3rd pick in the draft.

Sorry forgot Jonathon Stewart who has never been a full time NFL running back.

I agree with Mariotta being better then Winston, but saying a stud is far fetched....

Depending on who drafts him, what division/conference he ends up playing in, its hard to say he makes the playoffs.

Browns draft him... he has to compete with the Steelers and Ravens in his division. Titans take him, he has to compete with the Texans and Watt, and Colts with Luck.

Easiest route for him would be to get drafted by an NFC South team, that's the only plausible way your statement of him being in the playoffs within to years can hold any merit

Shit teams in the NFL are shit teams in the NFL for a reason. They have terrible general managers and ownership who are clueless. That usually doesn't change because they get good players. There's a difference between a team losing because they have young players that need to grow into a system, and general fuck ups like Cleveland who manage to lose with their numerous first picks every year. It all depends on where Mariota ends up. It's not the players who make the franchise, it's the franchise who makes the players...

I can't believe millionares and billionares are taking Winston #1. Unbelievable. You don't become rich by being stupid but geeze, you would have to be crazy. This guy is a train wreck waiting to happen. Ryan Leaf told off a reporter. This guy will swing at one after a 5 interception game then mug someone in Clearwater that night before driving to Tallahasee drunk.

NFLT, in my initial statement, I wanted to say he would increase his team's win totals by x wins....but that is far too dependent on the team that takes him. (i.e. if the bucs had him there is much more play than if the cardinals took him)

So i figure if he is on a team that was close to the playoffs, he would take them into the playoffs. If he was on a 2-3 win team, I can see him bringing them to .500+....but since I'm trying to make a bold statement, I just took the leap and said playoffs in a few years regardless of team. I believe it too.

Stud is such an objective term....I just tried to make a point. and I also knew Vlad's panties would get all bunched up near the vulva

I don't doubt this....but I think Mariota can substantially improve his team....regardless of offensive system

Everyone thought Vince Young had the intalgibles because of Rose Bowl. He had the "it" factor. I knew he would suck because his entire life, I bet it was " 1 more chance" same story here. 2 sport star with no discipline. I trust that. We all know the public information about him. Imagine how much stuff was covered up in small town Alabama.

Hahaha couldn't disagree more. The Titans are going to be horrible the next 4-5 seasons. Mariota seems like a nice guy but he's a system QB without the strongest arm. Winston has the tools to be special. Mariota I just don't see it at all. Most of his throws were to guys that were open by 5 feet in college. I think he's going to be a huge bust. He had all day to throw to guys that were wide open. Take a 3rd round flyer on him but it's crazy to me that he went #2. He's Case Keenum.

what makes all these wanna be pro know it alls think mariota is only a system quarterback? do you know for a fact he doesnt understand how to go through progressions? is playing in a pro offense the only criteria for becoming a talent at the position? his arm is plenty strong and i believe QB begins first and foremost between your ears at this level.

I'm not saying 100% he can't become a good NFL QB. I'm just saying you don't take a guy at #2 overall when he didn't have to deal with a pass rush, had wide open WRs to throw to, and ran a system offense in college. I'm fine with taking a shot at him in the 3rd round but it's just plain stupid to take a guy that high when 100 different college QBs playing last season could have had a ton of success in his role.

.
When I say he sucks, that means he sucks. If you are a 1 read qb, you get beat down like they do to Enfuego at the all you can eat buffets in Seattle.

Positives -- Athletic quarterback prospect who is extremely dangerous outside of the pocket... Has good speed to pick up the first down... Good arm strength, gets good velocity on his deep passes... Has good size and can
withstand a pounding... Although a running quarterback, does a good job of not tucking to run too early... Managed one of the fastest and most efficient offenses in college football... Good decision maker, rarely turned the ball over.

^^^That's not about Marcus Mariota. That's Darron Thomas, the Oregon QB before Mariota who is now trying to find a spot in Arena Football.

He also had "everything to succeed in the NFL" apparently.
