The Derby didn't go off until 6:43 and waiting for the results 6:50pm earliest he's leaving. I don't care if your Superman it still takes time getting from Millionaires Row to the the Louisville Airport. It takes 3:43 to get to Vegas on a private jet. They had to land in North Las Vegas because the field near the MGM was full. If the fighters had entered the ring at 11pm as scheduled Brady would have missed most of the fight. Even a police escort on I-15 with traffic it's going to take 20 minutes to get to the MGM. I am amazed that they were able to pull it off. Fortunately for Brady the fight was delayed due to the PPV overload on cable systems. I haven't even mentioned how jets are stacked up approaching Las Vegas airspace. Only one who gets clearance to move up to the front of the line is the Commander In Chief.

pretty sure everyone knew the fight wasn't going to start at 8pm and it would be a 830-845 start.

Can't rule out a plane landing to drop off someone and then taking off again to land at the North Vegas airport to park.

Brady called mid flight and asked them not to start until he got there. That's why they had the delay.

That would be awesome if that's what they did. Fly into Las Vegas Executive Air Terminal on the Strip, Take off and fly 8 miles to North Las Vegas to park.

You are forgetting the time change.

A flight on Soutwest from Louisville, KY to Las Vegas takes 4:05. But with the time difference it is 1:05. Example: leave at 4:20pm arrive at 5:25 PM

That is how Brady did it.

I believe Brady flew with Under Armor's CEO on his private plane.

The Derby ended about 6:50pm EST, the fight was scheduled to go off at about 11pm EST. I know it was delayed but originally the plan was to have the fighters to enter the ring at 11pm EST. That is a time difference of 4 hours and 10 minutes.
It would be nothing short of miracle if they could get out of Churchill Downs, get to the airport, fly into Las Vegas and get to the arena in that time. Because the fight started late they were able to see it. If it started at 11:05 they would probably got there around the 11th round. If it was a heavyweight fight when Mike Tyson was in his prime. The arena would have been empty by the time they got there because the fight would have ended in the first or second round.

Edelman Tweeted at 6:50pm from the plane that they left the Derby. Perhaps they watched the Derby on the plane or were already in flight?

Also, a Gulfstream G550 will get you to Vegas 30 minutes faster than 3:43 flight time (which assumes a 500mph average speed).

But, I think JackStraw's post about cutting it close is accurate. It just isn't clear how close or when, exactly, they took off from the Derby.

everything said is correct except that we're not on EST, we switched to EDT on march 8 and will switch back to EST nov 1. regardless your time difference is correct, but if brady leaves sooner than thought and jet flies faster than thought then brady makes it no problem... the other explanation is that one of Brady's Clones was awakened by mistake.
