Sooner. I know that we rarely agree on anything, but their are times that good people put those disagreements behind them. Today is one of those days. I just want you to know that myself and my family sincerely hope and pray that no harm has come to you, your family, or your friends in Oklahoma. I have seen first hand the damage that those storms can do and I know it can be a very scary situation. We hope that you are O.K and remember what is really important in life.

BD can be a hard ankle at times but I've known him for years and he is a softie with family and friends. He certainly married good...an Auburn lady. The man has faced some tough situations in the streets and never backed down. Maybe there's a carry over here at times but I have never had one single problem with BD and always read his posts.

If all us guys here at RX CFB had two-three hours to have a beer together and talk...we would all probably leave friends.

*Except for one asshole! It would take about 15 minutes before all would tire of this know-it-all.

Don't worry, as far as tornadoes go, I live in Trevor Knight territory. You know, where there aren't any touchdowns. Seriously though, this state is pretty torn up just south of me. I'm planning on flying down to south Texas in a few days for vacation, just in case I get one of those occasional stray tornadoes that hit the north part of the city. It's been a few years, so I'm about due for a scare..

Padre Island is suppose to be great this time of year, if it is not raining.

That was some class BD. One of these days I may catch up to you in Vegas and give you a gift to use on betting the ponies that can sniff out shots up to 50-1 (my best ever.) Also how to find and bet overlays that follow the "smart money" on "jockey" races that hit 45% winners and 65%-70% win/place wagers at 8-1 or better but only at large tracks with a healthy para-mutual cash flow. It was taught to me about 25 years ago at Hollywood Park by an old friend that lives no longer. If you haven't seen these systems in the past, an old salt like you would get a kick out of the success they bring. (Not for head to head competition, just for kicks and entertainment.) I particularly like systems that use a live feed and a racing form with a purpose in mind. Perfect for using at a sports book like Caesar's Palace while chowing down their prime rib and lobster buffet.

Now I would love to see that system. As an old "salt" who loves to put a few bucks on horses, I would be very interested in that. I kind of hold my own, but that is it. In the past month, my profit has been about 3 bucks. I really need a system.

There are 2 systems. One can pick the long shots, the other can identify which horses are "set up" by the powers at be and will yield a few 8-1 horses per week, normally on "big" racing days. If it doesn't look like work will allow me to make the trip to Vegas, I'll write you something that will explain them to you before you go too much further spending money entertaining yourself. It would be my pleasure sharing these with you. When you see how they work, you might see the genius in whoever figured them out. They make perfect sense.

Once I was on a plane headed to Vegas from Burbank. I noticed a couple of guys sitting across the aisle from me browsing a racing form. I settled in the seat behind them and was looking over their shoulder while the 3 of us went over the Saturday program at Santa Anita. I spotted one situation that looked like a real long shot but the horse fit the profile. I'll never forget the horse's name which was "Chess Set." It was listed as a 52-1 shot in the program odds. I can still hear the two of them laughing at me for suggesting Chess Set. So I went back to my seat and called my book in LA when the plane landed and put $100 straight up to win on the horse. I also bet another $100 at "Churchill Downs Race Book" (now defunct I believe.) Well you guessed right if you figured that Chess Set won the race. Not only did I go home about $5000 for the better, but that was the last time my book ever accepted a horse race from me.

I'll give you a hint. Often the biggest shots are horses that haven't raced this season or are back from a recent loss the previous week. Now it's their 2nd race back or possibly the 3rd. What should you be looking for? God it's too simple. I am busting a gut just to keep it to myself because I don't want to broadcast it all over the internet. This system has nothing to do with any kind of hanky-panky or tricks of any kind. Just some simple clear logic.

Fukit, I'll message you this weekend. The shot system is a lot simpler to explain than the system that tracks down races with "smart money" involved. A racing form is mandatory for both.

I will appreciate it greatly. Right now I am trying to figure out how it can be 90 degrees out here in March, and raining hard today.

Glad you and your family are OK. I lived in OKC in the mid to late 70s. Had a few back then mainly in the N. West quad of the city and an occasional threat around Tinker, but nothing like it has been for past few years. Liked your Trevor Knight comment.

Gotcha.

I'll copy you Red.
Show up on the right day when the shots are getting it done and the possibilities are huge.
But even the system that sniffs out the dirty money has hit around 50% straight up winners.
It's painfully obvious why when you've done it a few times. How it's done in a race just proves
that conspiracies abound. Once at Hollywood park I watched when I knew about it in advance
and I saw exactly how the jockey's pulled it off. What blows my mind is how frequently there's
a race like this on almost a daily basis. If it's any help, I can tell you that many of these "jockey"
races are Mexican. But of course no one from Mexico has a patent if you get my drift.

Another kind of funny anecdote about the shot system is that it works about as often at small
tracks but good luck making money there. I put $100 on the nose on a horse that was over 30-1
when I placed my wager. The very next flash on the tracks board in the race, the horse that I
bet on dropped from 30-1 to 4-1. I think by race time it paid just $5.10 to win on a $2 ticket. If
it had been anywhere else, the payout would have been 10x that.

BigdaddyQH,
For some reason I can't send you a PM. See if your private messages are turned off.
I get a message that states you can't receive private messages. Send me an email
address via private message that I can use if there's some sort of problem that can't
be fixed. I don't care if it's a gmail account or whatever, if this way isn't working,
maybe something else will.

I have no idea what is going on, but try it again. If this does not work, I will give you an e-mail to contact me and we will go that route.

The way jocks throw a race is rather easy to spot. The problem is finding out about this before the race starts. All jockeys are, or were involved one time in their career. I remember going to Santa Anita for John Longden's last ride. It was in the 1966 San Juan Capistrano Handicap. The jockey's made sure that he won. The odds dropped from the 40/1 openers to 6/1. It was not the best kept secret. Earlier in the day, Longden won the 4th race, when it was obvious that Bill Hartack hand rode his horse instead of using the whip in a head bobber with Longden's horse. To this day, everyone who saw that race say that Hartack let Longden win.

I've worked at two different businesses that have taken direct hits by tornadoes when I was working there. Luckily we had storm shelters in both. I remember one year when we had a big tornado come through and destroy part of our business, we had an open walk down storm shelter that was about 40 feet underground. It was pretty hot down there with everybody clumped together. Then a rush of cold air came through there. The girl next to me said "I'm sure glad they turned the air conditioner on, it was getting hot down here." I told her "we don't have any air conditioning down here, that was the air from the tornado going directly over the building." She about flipped out. When we came up from underground, there were a half a dozen cars and trucks that were smashed up against the building like pancakes. And you could hear the hissing sound of natural gas leaking everywhere. Pretty scary stuff. Luckily my neighbors have a storm shelter that I have a code to and can enter anytime we have a tornado outbreak. If they didn't have one, I would. Tornadoes are much more of a problem in the state now than they were when I was a kid. There are many more of them and they are much more violent. But like I said, most of the problems have been in the south part of the metro area. But you never know...
