I guess they already have prizes set up behind stage but in this instance I think I would have told the host "Uh Oh, buy some time with the contestant so we can get these prizes changed out!" lol

I know someone that was on a game show. Over 90% of the time the contestants take the cash value of the prizes instead of the actual prize itself. Even if they win a new car or something expensive.

The contestants always have the option to take the cash over the actual prize.
