2014: the first round may have been the best round of NBA playoffs ever. I believe 5 out of 8 series went 7 games. Lots of upsets and drama. The 2nd round sucked, chalk city romps.

2015: the first round totally sucked, maybe one or two series were even interesting. A few sweeps and 1 series went 7. In the second round, the lower seeded team leads all 4 series 2-1 thus far, not sure I've ever seen that in this league before.

Yes the first round sucked overall this year.

BUT the SA/LA series was by far the best 1st round series in NBA history.
First time ever you had a first round matchup where both teams at least had a chance to win an NBA title.

All others series in the first round sucked.

I agree. Other than the Clipps Spurs series not much exciting in the first round. The rest of the playoffs now should be entertaining

Not sure I've ever seen so many key injuries occur while the playoffs are going either.. Of those lower seeded teams that all lead 2-1 thus far,,,memphis had conley out game 1 and now wears a mask,,,,,,chicago has gasol injured in game 3 and out for game 4 or probable,,,clips had cp3 out game 1 and 2,,,,wiz lose wall for game 3 and unknown for how much longer.

Yeah pretty brutal. This was a trend in the regular season as well and its carried over. Hopefully it is just really bad variance and not some type of new norm. Although I have my doubts.

Don't forget Love. So in a matter of like 2 weeks you got CP3/Wall/Love/Conley/Pau and even Kyrie all getting hurt.
