Went into a random lottery the other day to earn the right to buy Garth Brooks tickets for a concert in Houston June, 26th

Garth Brooks sells every seat for the exact Same price no matter the location.

$78.

Anyway since my number got picked early I got to get some of the best seats in the house.

Im talking front and center 3rd row.

I only wanted 2 tickets but once I saw how good the seats were that I could get I bought the maximum of 8 allowed.

Now I have 6 extra premium tickets that lots of people would love to have .

Went to stub hub and saw where they are selling single seat tickets very similar to my seats for $1500 Each.

That would be 9k in my pocket after only spending a grand total of less then $650 for all 8.

My question is do you think that $1500 will go up or down the closer it gets to the concert?

Should I just go ahead and sell them now or do you think they will go up later?

Chop my opinion sell them as soon as you can, with concerts you never know what will happen if the show will get cancel ect, it happen all the time with concerts..........take the money and run

Yup dump them for what you can now and be done with it. Better to have a 5k+ profit now rather than sweating it out the week prior.

They will go down, sell now. As the date approaches, the market is flooded with tickets from people that can't go. Look at how the SB prices drop as the game approaches.

the best time to sell is when the price is highest :)

for sporting events, the price tends to drop the last couple of days as people looking for too much money are still stuck holding their tickets. I would think 5 to 10 days before the event is the best time to sell.

Best answer. Sell them now when the demand is high. You can still get the people who are pissed or disappointed they didn't get the initial release

If you are curious sell 4 or 5 of them on stub hub now and then hold the last 1 or 2 until the final week to 10 days. Take a smaller risk and cashout the majority of profit and hope that in the last 7-10 days you get lucky on those.

The problem I have with stub hub is I have to set the price.

If I set it too low I'm costing myself money.

If I set the price too high I may not get a sale.

I see tickets in my section on sale at stubhub for around 1500 but I have no way of knowing if they are actually selling at those prices.

If I go eBay I can just throw them up there with not reserve and let the free market decide.

Don't know

EBay a deadzone for tickets, and buyers can always dick around and dispute something stupid about the tickets..

also during the listing process on stubhub, you are able to see what tickets actually sold for (probably need to be logged in to see).

How hard is it to set up a sellers account on stubhub.

I already have an eBay account

List on both. If some sell on one, take them down on the other.

Stubhub takes like 1 min to create an account.

If demand is so strong they could add a second show which really hurts resale value. Had that happen to me a little while back, that sucked.

This is the reunion type of tour, no? Coming out if retirement so to speak...

Something tells me hold back 1 or 2. Its worth it this time imo. You may end up selling yours and wife's ticket as well is my guess...old and new fans wont be disappointed to have a chance to see him after the time away and may be his last.

Garth would be proud of his biggest fan scalping his tickets

Go find some poor folks and give them away

There is already 5 shows. It was going to be 5 shows from the beginning. Over 100,000 tickets were sold. The demand is still very high
