i am not a fan of the Patriots.

I am also not a fan of the NFL and its process of investigating and policing itself. This entire investigation has more holes in it, than the targets at any given police academy.

But what the hell is going on with Walt Anderson?

Before the game, Anderson used 1 gauge to approve the footballs. Anderson thinks it was the Wilson gauge, but is not sure. Guess its his age.

After the Colts complained at half, Anderson used 2 gauges. One measured the 11 Patriot footballs low. The other gauge measured them on the high end.

I think it matters which of those 2 gauges Anderson used before the game started, and that theaverage measurement at half was not substantially low for the NE footballs.

Wells says the gauges do not matter.

On the key question of which gauge was used by referee Walt Anderson to test the PSI levels of the footballs used in the AFC Championship Game,

Deflategate investigator Ted Wells punted.

Instead, on a conference call today, Wells turned that question over to his partner, Lorin Reisner. And Reisner then claimed that it doesn’t matter.

“The question of which gauge was used by Walt Anderson before the game — it just doesn’t effect any of the ultimate conclusions,” Reisner said. “The difference in the pressure drops between the two teams was found to be statistically significant regardless of the gauge used.”

But why, when Anderson says his best recollection is that he used a gauge with a Wilson logo on it, does the Deflategate report conclude that Anderson actually used a different gauge?

“It really doesn’t matter because regardless of which gauges were used, the scientific consultants addressed all the permutations in the analysis,” Reisner said.

That’s an odd answer. The two gauges that were used to measure the PSI levels of the footballs on that Sunday in January came up with different measurements, and it’s necessary to know the precise PSI levels of the footballs to know whether there was a rules violation at all. Determining which pressure gauge Anderson used seems important, and that’s a determination the investigators weren’t able to make.

What about when he lost the footballs tony? Then realized McNally had taken them to the field already without him knowing or his permission. Then he decided to use the balls instead of the 12 back up balls he approved and didn't lose sight of.

How many games should Anderson be suspended?

I say atleast 4 at a minimum. Pats, clearly Anderson was incompetent at the AFC Championship game.

If the gauge he used before the game measured the footballs on the high end at halftime, then that would matter. Anderson somehow could not recall for certain.

Wells said that Andersons testimony was impecable...up until Anderson said he used the crooked gauge which would have brought all the balls PSI within the gas laws by their own standards...but NOOO it didn't fit the NFLs agenda.
5.5 hours testimony with Brady....where is it? I thought Goodell was all about tranperency?

Ah! And that is the other thing that really bothers me here.

Wells states today that while Brady answered every single question during that interview, his refusal to turn in his phone, emails, etc. Made him un-cooperative.

I do not fault Brady for not giving Wells his phone. He answered every question. Never took the 5th.

So I do not care that Wells framed it, that none of Brady's protected information on there would be seen, because I simply do not trust the NFL or anyone for that matter when it comes to personal protected info. Anyway, if he answered all of the questions, why did he need to continue to prove his innocence? Give them all his personal info?

Or the fact that the league set up a sting operation with the intent of playing a conference championship game with illegal footballs? But integrity of the game is important. Owners should be embarrassed.

While waiting on my $1 1/4 Burgers @ Club Louie special that I thought started at 4 but wasn't till 5 I was watching ESPN where a commentator was using the "race" card in the Brady suspension saying the NFL needed a white famous player "to throw under the bus" with all the light that was put on the on-off the field activities last season by the blacks!

My gauge says, America is crooked....... again "The truth will never be heard".

Why did they stop measuring the Colts footballs when they were coming up under the limit?

Why wasn't luck suspended?

More legitimately, why weren't the colts fined?

There must be another 300 page report coming out.

Wait, the NFL did launch an investigation into that team too didn't they?
