If you can't beat 'em, mock 'em.

An anonymous group of New York Jets fans, delighting in Tom Brady's four-game suspension for his role in Deflategate, took a not-so-subtle shot at the Patriots' quarterback by purchasing space on 12 electronic billboards in northern New Jersey.

The big green message reads:
#TomShady
It's accompanied by the famous team cheer:
J-E-T-S Jets! Jets! Jets!

The Jets haven't made any public statements regarding the New England Patriots' sanctions, but they're obviously enjoying the moment.

On Monday night, Suzanne Johnson, the wife of Jets owner Woody Johnson, tweeted the Brady news. Her tweet included a happy face emoji. The tweet was quickly deleted.

The fan base likes to express itself on billboards. In the fall, a disgruntled group of fans raised money and bought a "Fire John Idzik" billboard near the stadium, referring to the then-general manager.

Fans also took to the skies last season, renting a banner-toting plane that twice flew over a Jets practice. That, too, bore a "Fire Idzik" message.
The embattled general manager eventually was fired.

With Brady, the fans stayed grounded, using just the billboards to poke their longtime nemesis.

A spokesperson for Outfront Media declined to reveal the cost of the billboards or the identities of the fans.

"Jets fans are very passionate, and this particular group wanted to express the opinion not just held by them, but by most football fans who are reacting to the news of Brady's involvement in DeflateGate and subsequent punishment," spokesperson Carly Zipp said.

Hands down most annoying fan base in the NFL and on top of that they've been insignificant since QB's wore pantyhose. Last twenty years the biggest accomplishments are a comeback win vs Miami on Monday night, booing every Jets selection at the NFL draft and sharing a stadium with a multiple Superbowl winner.

the only team the Jets are ready to play is the Pats, they get two super bowls every year :)

he quit during the Thanksgiving Night Massacre vs the Patriots which I attended

other Jets fans were mocking him, calling him a corporate whore, when he was just a hardcore fan

more proof that the "masses are asses" and know very little about the truth

That's interesting. It was fun to good about him but I'm sure he is probably a decent guy and just a hardcore fan.

WTF is up with Betall then, what's his excuse?

Stop bitching... Big difference saying I would like to see Him play for us, and filming coaches or letting the air out of balls.

30 Sheet Poster (Medium Billboard): Range of $750 - $2,000 per location per 4 week period
8 Sheet Poster / Junior Poster (Small Billboard): Range of $300 - $750 per location per 4 week period
Digital/LED Bulletin (Large Digital Billboard): Range of $3,500 - $25,000 per location per 4 week period for an ~8 second spot in a loop of ~64 seconds
Range of rates depends on timing and market.

Apparently New Jersey JETS fans have a lot of free time on their hands when their team isn't winning Super Bowls.
