NonStopSportsPicks (NBA Series Wagers)

1.5* - Grizzlies +1500 (sportsbook.ag)

Here we go again...I will GLADLY risk 1.5* on the Grizzlies to win knowing that IF they do, they give us a 22.5-1 shot to hedge for game 7 where the moneyline will likely be around -350. Just TOO much value and is there more than a 15-1 chance the Grizzlies win game 6? ABSOLUTELY. Then, if they win, we'll come back and split right down the middle with 3* or 4* on the Warriors moneyline. If we lose, we have the Warriors already to win the series and we basically lose a little of the prior hedge and only make peanuts on the series. Just TOO many ways the Grizzlies can get it done. And like I said the first time we did this in the series (after game 1 and we bet the Grizzlies as high at +1750)...this number is RIDICULOUS!

1.5* - Wizards +480

Same deal here...and I think at least one of these 2 teams wins (Grizzlies and Wizards) and maybe both if we get lucky.

That will do it. Enjoy the games tonight...should be good ones!

Baseball Betting: Streaks, Tips, Notes

Astros Jays weekend series May 14-17 2015

Astros and Blue Jays square off in a four-game set this weekend at Minute Maid Park in Houston. Astros have hit a rough spot winning just 3 of its last 9 but can win this series. Astros no slouches with the lumber platting 4.3 runs/game and one of the best at clearing the fences (49 HR) should be able to take advantage of Toronto sporting the leagues third worst pitching staff which heads into to the weekend with a 4.60 ERA. Also, Jays have not been the sharpest away for Toronto this season at 8-11 and are currently ridding a 4-9 stretch in unfriendly territory.

Game-two of the series Astros feature Dallas Keuchel (4-0, 1.39 ERA) matching pitches with R.A. Dickey (1-4, 5.00 ERA). Keuchel remains unbeaten in seven starts this year with a WHIP of 0.85. The hurler is also 6-0 with a 1.65 ERA in his past 12 starts dating to last year with Astros 11-1 over the span. Dickey crushed for 6 runs last outing can't seem keep the ball in the park giving up 2 additional yard ball for 7 on the season and 68 since joining Jays in 2013. Would not surprise if Astros top sluggers chase the knuckler early.

Game-three Scott Feldman (2-4, 5.23 ERA) goes up against Marco Estrada (1-2, 3.34 ERA). Feldman has allowed three runs or fewer in five of his seven outings and is off a strong seven innings in Anaheim where he gave up three runs and six hits in a loss to the Angels. Estrada yet to get past the fifth in two starts got his only 'W' in a relief roll. The long-ball has plague the righty as he's allowing 30 HR in 20 starts with Jays/Brewers. Another opening for Stros top sluggers.

The finale has pitchers duel written all over it as Collin McHugh (4-1, 3.5 ERA) and Mark Buehrle (5-2, 5.54 ERA) match pitches. McHugh's string of consecutive wins came to an end last outing in allowing seven runs but still remains a strong 11-1 in his last 17 trips to the mound (14-3 TSR). Veteran left-hander Mark Buehrle is coming off back-2-back strong showings allowing just 3 runs over 11.0 innings of work. If Jays have a shot it's here as crafty Buehrle has a perfect 5-0 TSR vs Houston with Toronto (3-0) and Pale Hose (2-0)

'Rays Sting Twinkies'

The opening matchup of a three game series is today’s baseball betting focus as the Minnesota Twins host the Tampa Bay Rays this evening at Target Field. Paul Molitor's crew spanked 13-1 in Detroit yesterday try to get back back into the win column handing the ball to Phil Hughes (2-4, 5.11 ERA). The right-hander opened the campaign going 0-4 in his first five starts (0-5 TSR) but thanks to Twins' offense platting 15 runs escaped with a pair of W's recently despite surrendering 3 long-ball, 9 runs in 12 1/3 innings. In contrast, Rays Jake Odorizzi is off back-2-back quality starts giving up just 2 runs over 13 2/3 innings but the hurler recorded just one 'W' and a no-decision for his efforts bringing his mark to 3-2 with a 2.09 ERA. Hughes not in the best of form, Odorizzi pitching like an ace right now and Tampa Bay owning a sparkling 15-4 record at this venue expect Rays to sting Twinkies.

Hondo

Hondo starts new losing streak

The Cardinals rushed to Hondo’s rescue Thursday afternoon when they nipped the Native Americans to end his losing streak at eight. However, a new schneid was begun Thursday night as the Giants fell in Cincy to leave the debt at 750 henrichs.

Friday night: Mr. Aitch will pin his hopes on the Yankees to beat Chris Young, even though it will be a tall order — 10 units on the Bombers.

[h=2]Larry Ness' 10* Weekly Wipeout Winner-MLB (42-20 s/2014)[/h]My 10* Weekly Wipeout Winner is on the Was Nats at 10:10 ET.Thursday’s rain delay was just the FIFTH in Petco Park history (1 hour, 56 minutes) with the Padres then going out an taking down the Nats, 8-3. The win improved the Padres to 8-5 in May after losing SEVEN of their final eight in April. Meanwhile, Washington lost for just the FOURTH time in 16 games. "It didn't go our way (Thursday)," manager Matt Williams told MLB's official website. "So, we'll get back at it (Friday)." The Nationals had averaged 6.5 runs and batted .308 in 15 contests prior to Thursday and haven't lost two in a row since a SIX-game slide April 22-27.
Odrisamer Despaigne (2-1, 5.13 ERA) gets the nod for the Padres, making his fourth start of the season and first appearance vs Washington. He needs to bounce back after allowing career highs of eight runs and 10 hits over five innings of an 11-0 defeat at Arizona on May 7. "He had a bad game, leaving the ball right over the plate where good hitters like it," teammate Derek Norris said. "Just chalk it up. One of those nights. There were a lot of mistakes. There was nothing I could do about it aside from going out there and throwing it for him." The good news for the Padres is that the second-year right-hander is 4-1 with a 1.77 ERA in nine career starts at Petco (Padres are 7-2). In his only one there this season, Despaigne gave up a run and two hits in seven innings of a 5-1 win over the Diamondbacks on April 14.
However, the bad news for San Diego is that (as noted above) the Nats have been CRUSHING the ball as of late, with Harper leading the way. Then there is Washington’s starter tonight, Jordan Zimmermann (2-2, 4.20 ERA). Zimmermann has pitched better than his numbers indicate, as aside from one poor start against Boston, when he got ripped for eight runs (seven earned) in just 2.1 innings, his ERA on the year is 2.82. In fact, while Strasburg has hogged the headlines these last few seasons, Zimmermann has been the more effective pitcher for the Nats these last three years. He made 32 starts each season, going 12-8 (2.94), 19-9 (3.25) and 14-5 (2.66), with the Nats going 66-30 or plus-$2,903 vs the moneyline at $100/game.
A matchup with San Diego could be “just what the doctor ordered!” He has allowed two earned runs and struck out 34 while walking one over 30 innings to go 2-1 in four starts at Petco. His 0.60 ERA there is his lowest in any road park with a minimum of two starts. He tossed a two-hitter and struck out a career-high 12 during a 6-0 victory June 8 for his second straight complete game at San Diego. "Big ballpark, just let them hit the ball," Zimmermann said after that outing.
Nats get the win, “with room to spare!”
Good luck...Larry
