one of the favs to make the postseason again this year are off to a horrible start. We all know their closer won't be back until June but they aren't this bad. I have bet them to win the last 2 games now. They face Price at home tonight and are dogs. It might be a good time to ride the A's if they are on a roll.

theyve had their chance, team is worse than past years IMO... and the division is much better

their record says they are worse but I think the talent is there. I think they could go on nice run over the next little while. I am gonna bet them every day and see what happens.

Worst team in MLB. Beane went for it last year, and then traded away the aftermath.

Donaldson fields that ball and it could be a different story.

I've watched every game so far this year and The A's are finally getting some timely hitting.

Sonny Gray has been a beast. I don't get why the opposing team can not hit Kasmir, but he is pitching well. Chavez at home is unhittable.

Hahn has shown some life the last 5 games after having blister problems.

Semien is cutting down on the errors after getting Washington in to tutor him.

Lawrie, Vogt, Reddick, and Zobrist are hitting the ball very well right.

Should be interesting the second half of the season

ya. Too bad it looks like Doolittle is gone for the year but his replacement Clippard is doing a good job

Just updated stats in my little MLB prognostication database. This is only for offensive potential....

Semien, Butler, and Lawrie should have strong 2nd halves.

Fuld has room to improve but his bat is shit no matter what he does. You might get an occasional triple I guess.

Vogt, Canha, Burns, and Zobrist are going to suffer some power outages. Doesn't matter much for Burns. His top-end is probably 4 homers so I'm not sure why I included him but he's outproducing his realistic power at nearly a 500% clip.

In my opinion the team doesn't seem primed to go on a run, nor fall off, offensively.

They are outproducing realistic stats in both power and average but not by a huge amount. That's normal for the A's (who are my favorite team BTW). Beane knows what he's doing.

The offense would be best served by hitting Semien 2nd, Butler 3rd, and Lawrie 4th for the next few weeks as far as my numbers are concerned. Drop Zobrist and Vogt.

Food for thought.
