I am not one of those people who is afraid of flying. I mean, if the thing goes down over the ocean then what can I do? The life jackets they show us before take-off will be as useful a band-aid on a severed arm. Yes I have hit some nasty turbulence where I thought the worst could happen but after it's over, I forget about it.
I am not sure how I would react if I was looking out my window and seeing this just before take-off! Honestly, I would seriously consider leaving the plane. Am I over reacting? How would you react?

A terrified easyJet passenger has shared an image of an airport worker sticking silver tape onto the engine of a plane moments before take-off.
The image was posted to Reddit by the passenger with the caption: “Ladies and gentleman, we will depart just as soon as our mechanic finishes taping our engine back together.”
It shows a man wearing a florescent jacket measuring tape around an engine shell of a familiar orange-coloured jet.
More than 1.7m people have viewed the photograph online with many debating whether they would stay on the flight.
The image was also shared on Twitter by passenger Adam Wood with the message: “Always worrying when @easyJet are duct taping the plane together.”
One user commented: “I would not be able to take that flight after seeing that.”
But following a further probe it has been revealed the airport was not using duct tape but speed tape, according to the MailOnline.
The aluminium tape is often used in the aviation industry to carry out quick repairs on flights.
The budget airline company quickly responded to reassure Mr Wood on Twitter.
A post from the easyJet Twitter account read: “Please be reassured that the duct tape in place as a result of some cosmetic work that is required to the aircraft paintwork.
“It is nothing structural and in no way compromises the safety of the aircraft.”
