if you are a bookmaker, would you take bets from members of an online forum?

It's happening already, I'd guess. And it's probably happening a lot.

yep its not the best of ideas. you really have to establish trust...and like shdw said, from both sides. the bookie can be as irresponsible and as untrustworthy as any bettor... both parties have to be responsible.. honestly, it's only a matter of time until you run into a problem. In my very limited dealings with forum members i had a bad egg. it will happen

my biggest advice to any "bookie" is treat it like a business. don't keep putting your hand in the cookie jar. it's not free money. pay yourself once every quarter, 6 months or year.. and never go below you're certain bankroll number, which better be at least 5 figures.

i've had people win 15k in a matter of a month and that's with $500 limits.

If you were a forum member, would you place bets with a bookmaker you met online?

I've never gone down this path, and I'm not sure who is a bookie or not, but there are people on this forum I would absolutely trust

but they're in the minority

I guess after nearly 10 years, you learn some stuff

It's hard to believe I became an empty nester (my baby left for college) 10 years ago

id think im taking more risk by letting these two play on credit to begin

i think the credit part of it evens the risk out. I have seen it both ways....back in the day the stiff players were the risk. Now that PPH sites are very easy for ppl to get access to, the risk goes both ways. Credit is the equalizer imo. Small settle figures to begin with are beneficial to both sides imo.
