Hey Chop , Garth Brooks played a doubleheader in B'ham last night , the 2nd show was scheduled to start at 10:00 pm , but they had trouble clearing the arena between shows as well as major traffic snarls and the 2nd show didnt start until 11;45 pm and ended at 2:15 am. .... better get you a nap first lol.

Yea we going to the 10:30 on the 26th.
Almost went to Birmingham but right when we were about to buy tickets he announced Houston which is much closer .

Then after securing the Houston tickets less then 1 week later he announces he is going to be in New Orleans 1 week later . Haha.

I wonder how many people besides me in Louisiana bought tickets to see him in Houston only later to find out he was going to be in New OrleaNs

But about your question Houston probably has more ability to handle the crowd then Birmingham. At least I hope.

Yeah i would think Houston could handle the traffic and parking better than B'ham , that had to have been a nightmare. It probably would have been better to do the old Elvis gimmick and play a matinee show and a night show rather than b2b night shows.

He played 2 shows at 2,5 hours each with an hour and 45 min. break in between .... the ol' boy and his band certainly earned their money.

I guess Michael McDonald of the Doobie Brothers got humbled last night.

Garth did 2 hard sell-outs of 17k at the bjcc , the Bartow arena had a 9k sellout (including fire marshall turn-away of sro crowd) for the boxing match , while poor Michael McDonald played a concert at Iron City drawing about 600. HEH !
