There are 3 tiers of players. You choose 4 golfers from each tier. At the end of the weekend, you take your top 5 golfers scores, and add them up. If your team shoots the lowest out of everybody in the pool, you win.
If you don't have 5 golfers make the cut, you are given the highest carded score for each person out of the 5 that don't make the cut. Essentially, if you don't have 5 golfers make the cut, you are pretty much out.
Its te a lot of fun to do during the majors. The website has a live scoreboard feature. It costs $20 to run, which I may just put out of pocket. As of right now, the twenty will come out of the prize pool, but I will probably just end up paying it.

re: "Go ahead and sign up if you want to play." I hesitated to sign up the team entry cuz I didn't know if I'd be able to change Golfers once an entry is put in. Wanted to get the entry in so the # of entrants would grow but hesitated cuz I wanna devote a little thought to who to take.
Can Golfers taken be changed prior to the first Tee Time or you just get the one shot to pick Golfers then thats who you have?

This is gonna be interesting, guys should get in this & choose their 12 Golfers. The "Tier" system where ya gotta choose 4 from each tier + this crazy ("Virgin") Course ensures it'll be an interesting exciting contest. Definitely worth 25 bucks thanks for doing this tcu. :toast:

Every one I've been a part of that used tiers, you always have a few entries that don't have enough to make the cut. However, with the way these tiers are set up, with so many in one, I'm afraid that we will have a ton not have 5 make it, and that will not make it as fun. I originally had it at top 8 scores, but dropped it to 5 to make it more competitive. I have commitments from about 10-12 of my buddies who usually play these. So I think we will have a decent turnout. With my new job, I've been running around like crazy and forgot to set it up last week.
Please feel free to pass it on to anybody you like. Please when you PP me the money include your team name so I can keep track of who paid.
