I would like to start some open discussion threads
where we can discuss different topics. Open to
everyone. No bringing beefs, politics, feuds, etc in here.
Everyone on the same page to help one another or learn
something new.

Today's Topic:

Baseball Parlays

I chose this topic after reading some threads where different
poster s were wondering if they should do them or not do them.

I will weigh in after I go grab some lunch.

Okay fellas. Lets get some dialogue going on this topic.

I do parlays on a daily basis and hardly ever win.
Its a complete waste on money.
I did hit one last night on Texas, AZ & Seattle.
Still way down on them.

I play almost all parlays in baseball. Been very successful taking 3 or 4 teams +2 1/2 runs regardless of the odds. Most of the time paying anywhere from even money up to 3 times amount bet. Yes you do get bit every once in awhile losing a few in a row but have had more successes than failures. Usually play each par for 200 or 300

Like taking the odds right out of it. During the nhl and nba playoffs would add a basketball on the ml or hockey game + 2 1/2 goals

I do this quite often at 5dimes. I just dont post them.

A long time forum friend of mine named Wire2Wire does this too.
He also puts them into Round Robins. I sometimes do the Round Robin
strategy with the + 2.5. But most often I approach it like you do.

Let me share some ways I approach Baseball parlays.
Trying to read this thread, type, and eat lunch at the same
time. I will hop back in here in just a little bit.

Not a waste of $ at all. The other day (TUESDAY), I won a 4 team parlay on Cardinals (-166), Astros (-177), Giants (+115), and Red Sox (-159). I don't parlay all the time, but loved this one. It was only a measly $26 to win $202. I was happy....cuz now I can do more of em. Yesterday, I hit 3/4 games....and single wagered all of em....so not a big deal. I am confident I can win at least 2 out of 4 to break somewhat even if I lose. Kevy, hope u don't mind me posting in here......I know you hate me.....but that's ok. If you don't want me posting in here, no worries. Just let me know. I'd like to chime in on the parlay fun!

Baseball Parlays are def something I use much more than any other sport. I like doing 3 team parlets keeping the 3rd game late enough or doing 1 open spot so, when the first two hit can hedge part of it out to cover the amount of the parlet wager and then have potential risk free profit at that point and still cheering for your 3rd leg. A couple of my friends just hedge it to guarantee money and not worry about the 3rd pick....I like the action and also take pride in picking the 3rd leg winner.

I have no luck at all playing parlays but that could probably be attributed to my lack of handicapping skills.. I dunno..

I have been around this since the age of 12 and I am
still learning to this very day. Just keep being a humble
student and you will be fine.

Two of your best friends in Baseball Parlays in my opinion:

1) Open Parlays

2) Round Robins

I honestly think it is the only way to win in baseball regularly either 2 games ml or 3 or 4 teams plus 2 1/2 runs. Just my opinion.

i only do parlays in baseball personally...i usually like to do 2 team first five parlays when two super strong pitchers are at home (a la king felix at home, kershaw at home, bum at home, and a few others) -- it helps to give a little better odds....just my $0.02

Was friends with several bookies for many years. They loved it most when people bet parlays and teasers. Trust me I understand the odds behind parlays, but in my opinion it is difficult enough to find one winner let alone multiple winners. I will happily invest in each game separately.

Hope things stay settled, your contributions are appreciated K.

Best of luck to all, whether it be straight up, parlayed or whatever imaginative way you can win some cash.

Cheers!

Parlays get a real negative stereotype similar to Teasers in other sports.

But you just have to approach them the right way. Look for your edge.

I got validation that they were not a sucker bet if done the right way when

Spiro at Olympic back in 2001 set pretty low limits for me with the Baseball

Parlays.

What I liked about your strategy with that parlay was you throwing in the money line dog.

That is when you can really make some great return with these. Great ROI on that 4 teamer.
