I took 3 teams on the ML Action, meaning pitching change does not matter. I won it and it was short by $70. They told me it was because of a pitching change.

Can they do this?

Did they count it as no action, or did they change the odds. I've had a book change the odds when I listed action, but never cancel the bet.

they did not cancel but they changed the odds even though the ticket still shows the original odds when the bet was made.

Did they change the odds of the actual play, or did they change it to a two teamer?

If they paid you as a two teamer instead of a 3 teamer I'd say you're in the right. But if they just adjusted the line, I've had that happen to me in Nevada, i was pissed too, they were adamant about it though.

If it was listed and they changed the pitcher then yes the 3 teamer gets reduced to a 2 teamer

the team/game that had the pitching change gets adjusted and you get the opening adjusted line once the book opens the game back up. would be the same if you had a straight play on that game if you did list action and not pitchers.

if it's "listed", the three teamer becomes a two teamer

if it's action, then they can't change the line, that's why there's an action option

Matty is correct. It should be a three teamer still with adjusted odds.

Some books do it here though, some don't.

Fascinating. I nearly always List Pitchers, basically Always, so I've not encountered this. Makes sense what others have said though so it seems the answer to your question is Yes, the Book can and will adjust the line on "Action" to whatever the Line Re-opened at with new pitcher. There went some possible "edge" by choosing ACTION I guess...

Matty is not correct if you clicked on listed pitchers . What Matt says is only true if it's action . That is the case at 100% of sports books

+1

Most books automatically assign listed pitchers for parlays. If it was not manually changed it would result in a 2 team parlay.

In that case the price gets adjusted at 100% of all sports books and rightly so

That's the way it is, but I'm not sure I agree with it. I think the number you bet is the number you should get, for better or fro worse.

If if that's the case there would be no such thing as listed vs action .

Just because it's a parlay should not change that fact.

heritage. I already talked to their rep. He is cool and it is nothing in the longrun so I guess it doesn't bother me.

Chop.... thanks for jumping in there. At first I was astonished this was a real question?

Simply put...... we are trying to bet on the outcome off the game (winner). Not trying to guess the starting pitcher's name?
