For everything. And don't say San Diego etc. A no kidding smaller out-of-the-way city.

I'll start with three:

Estes Park, CO
Rapid City, SD
Leavenworth, WA

Experience all three. You won't be disappointed.

I'm curious as to what will happen to San Diego.

The future of LA is exactly as it has been portrayed in Elysium. I'm guessing San Diego with all its beauty will become like Rio. A beautiful place in the tourist parts, but then a 3rd world slum just outside of it. Don't get me wrong, I like LA, San Diego and Rio.... just the facts.

Biased here but I think Reno's pretty under rated. Lots of people like to bash it, but we have cheap property here, I can ski in Tahoe, go exploring in Yosemite to the south, pay no income tax, bet on sports and play poker legally all from my home. Plus there's good gambling and prostitution is legal near by if you're into that kind of thing.

As far as economics go I think the entire State of North Dakota is under rated. My entire family is from there, and most still live there. Great Jobs and great economy, it's like the recession never hit there.

Was supposed to go to Reno this summer, but didn't happen... Can you go into more details on the "cheap property" comment? I like the idea of being close to mountains and lake.. though I heard the lake is too cold to swim in, in the summer?

I bought a 4 bedroom house (1994) just outside of town in an average HOA community for about 99k in 2012, it's now worth about 150k, but still pretty cheap. My house payment is like a car payment. I'm about 40 mins from Tahoe, prices there are very high though. The water is cold, but I've gone swimming there and the kids got in too. It's cold but swimmable.

Carson City or Gardnerville are only a 30 min drive to the hill, and it's even cheaper there than Reno.

I know some bad shit has gone down there recently, but Charleston SC is a great city. Great climate, lots of parks and history, mixture of old and new, very nice people.

If I could afford it, I would love to live in a suburb outside of LA. When I was in college, a girl and I drove up the Pacific Coast Highway. You have beaches on 1 side, desert on the other, amusement parks, night life, great weather, tons of out of work hot actresses. I may start a casting couch.

Outside of that, I would think small big towns are nice. Like Indy. Never have to take a cab or get raped to park (except for Colts games). I lived in DC for a few months; not for me. Too ethnic and parking was a pain in the ass since no one really owns a home there. Going to the grocery was like a 5 hour affair.

Yes it is. Get to travel there for work every once in awhile and I love it. I was there last week.

That is on my short list of places to which I'd relocate.

I moved to Hoover, AL 18 months ago and I absolutely love it. Wouldn't have imagined I'd like it this much.

Hoover/Birmingham area very underrated. Affordable, beautiful scenery, nice people, things to do. Beats anywhere I've lived up north.

Isn't Hoover where that one HS football coach coached? The guy featured on E60? He's now in Georgia. Think he had a job with Saban until he fucked around on his wife.

There was a show called "Two A Days" that was all about the Hoover High Football team.
