For all you film fanatics out there, you can cross one movie off your viewing list.
Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch reportedly has shut down production of his biopic “Family First the Marshawn Lynch story,” because the film didn’t live up to his expectations.
The internet was graced with a trailer for the film in February, showing a four-minute window into what a Marshawn Lynch movie might look like, and it was gloriously awkward.
As Rolling Stone points out, Lynch and his agent, Doug Hendrickson, are less than pleased with the job done by director and longtime family friend Mario Bobino.
“He did a terrible job, and the film will never be released,” Hendrickson told Rolling Stone’s Kenneth Arthur.
Bobino and Lynch reportedly are no longer on speaking terms, as tension grew after Bobino released the trailer without Lynch’s approval.
“It will never be the same between us,” Bobino told Rolling Stone. “I think the issue with me and him now is a trust issue. He doesn’t trust me anymore, so that’s why the movie isn’t going to come out. It’s a trust issue with me now, because I put out that promo out with his consent.”
Lynch, who has had an eventful offseason, might be better served without the distraction of balancing film production and football. And those eagerly anticipating Lynch’s debut on the big screen will have to settle for watching him on game days - at least until his next major film venture.
