He seems like a smarmy douche to me, but his show apparently makes $18+ million per year (which is mind boggling)

Colin Cowherd is the next high-profile sports personality to leave ESPN. The host of the popular ESPN Radio program The Herd with Colin Cowherd will exit before the conclusion of his contract for a job at Fox Sports. ESPN made an aggressive bid to keep Cowherd, sources say. But ultimately lost out to Fox Sports which has been on a spending spree since the launch two years ago of its cable networks.
"We’ve enjoyed a mutually beneficial run with Colin for over a decade. He came to national prominence on ESPN with his unique perspective on sports and society. Endings also bring new beginnings, for ESPN and Colin, and we thank him and wish him the best,” ESPN president John Skipper said in a statement.

Not sure why ESPN would cut ties w/ him. The revenue he's bringing in for the network has to be more than most shows.

I'm not really a fan of his show (and agree he can be a little bit of an asshole sometimes), but he does a pretty good job overall (thus his success).

Can take or leave him...probably be a shock to his system for a college football guy to get on board with college football on Fox..not exactly a hotbed for that sport

I actually like his show.......he also had the "Sharps" show on ESPN Sunday mornings on what the sharps supposedly were betting in the NFL every Sunday......I took that show with a grain of salt, but still liked it.

Colin is the only on-air talent ESPN has....And it is not even close. Wilbon? Bayless? Kornheiser? Fat Golic? Little Jew Mike? Lebatard's 98 year old Dad? Bomani Jones? Marcellus Wiley? Seriously, the only on air talent they have and it is not even close.

Has Skip Bayless ever been right about anything? He was 1 of 4 people on the entire planet to act like RG3 was better than Luck. He still thinks Tebow is an all time NFL qb. He had Pacaquio.

Colin could retire now and not even think about money. His vacation house looks like a mansion in Florida. Owns a wine business. He makes all of the other ESPN people look stupid. I always thought I would be good at that type of job.

Colin is kinda going against his own advice here. He always said if you are a guy making 40K, sure take that job that will pay you 50K, but if you are a guy making 1mm a year. don't leave a good situation for 1.3mm a year.

It seems that by going to Fox he will be able to be involved in their college football coverage and their NFL stuff too. Perhaps he will have more flexibility to work on his areas of interest.

How much money these people make is crazy given what they actually produce.

I might now go blow my head off because I just agreed with everything you said especially about Skip Clueless.

Cowherd is awful. He just finds the side of a story most people are against and goes that way. Arrogant idiot.
