Anybody have any suggestions?

Where do you go to find the first line out there? Any books or sites that always have particular lines first?

American football lines are almost instantaneous so there's never really a problem with that. However, here is an example.

Where would you go to find the first lines for the Pan American Games Men's basketball for Wed, July 22nd?

Pinnacle is the line origin for almost everything... maybe some obscure asian/euro shops have lines on asian/euro events first (pinnacle, williamhill and bet365 are considered the top) but I don't think it's that far ahead pinny, maybe minutes. And none of these shops would have the odds and variety that pinny has so why bother?

I think Betonline is earlier than Pinnacle a lot of the time.

For example betonline had tomorrows MLB odds up three hours before pinnacle put them up.

True that man, but BetOnline lines are just not that juicy... but that's not the point of the thread.

BetOnline software is so weird, don't like it. I'm biased.

Hmmm. Well, last night Pinny popped up the PanAm basketbal lines at about 11:30pm PST.

Today it was 5dimes popping them up at around 11:25pm PST.... before Pinny. Pinny doesnt even have them yet.

I don't think 5dimes is making their own lines.... and if they're copying, they're not getting the P.A. lines from Pinny.

So where are they coming from?

Another factor I'd like to key on is which book tends to break away from the pack different (and right more often than not).

Any Sportsbook most often out there right, worth noticing?

Good post, gold64.

I just would really appreciate someone who has the definitive answer on this.... b/c Pinnacle and 5dimes FIBA (or international basketball lines) almost always run in absolute harmony.

Yet from the PanAm games one can see that Pinny went before 5dimes.... and then on another night 5dimes went before Pinny.... yet the lines
were almost identical. And I don't believe Pinny was up waiting for 5dimes to post the lines last night and then just copied.

Side note: Pitino turned around P.Rico and ate Venezuela alive! Impressive performance b/c they looked like absolute trash with no pieces on their team (minus JJB).

5 dimes take MOST of their lines from Pinny. If pinny dont have them and customers are asking they resort to BetFair, WilliamHill, Bet365.

There is also a line app called BetRadar that basically is a Euro DonBest with tons of sources. lines from books offering every single damn sport, obscure asian and euro books.

BR is expensive, but if you are a serious bettor, guess there's nothing better out there.

This is good info. Thank you. I checked WillHill and nothing.

Pinny and 5dimes with nothing yet for tmrw's games.

I will look into BR. Had never heard of that.

Knowledge is power. Btw, do you know if some C.Rican banks would allow a w/d from one's own sportsbook's account to a friend's Ntlr acct? Do they allow that?

Hmmm... Yes, you can basically link ANY bank account to your Neteller as long as you pass the verification process (in neteller this is a code at the end of your neteller purchase code on your bank statement). Skrill does this as well but they have TERRIBLE cs, they basically withdraw a miimum amount from your bank account (less than $1) and you have to verify the exact amount in less than 3 tries.

But better if you go to neteller's livechat to make sure.

I might have misread that, but what I mean to say is.... let's say I owe PR 500$. I can't use Ntlr myself. Will some CR books allow me to send you 500 from my CR acct to your Ntlr acct?

U.S.A -1 to Canada is the sucker bet of the year.

Canada wins.

You're probably right, but I'd shy away from that. US still has a good chance to win that. The total was the easy winner. Opened at 165 and last I checked at Pinny it was at 173.5.... almost a 10-pt jump. Both teams easily dumping in 80 in this game.
