Bible mentions other beings inside & outside of Earth's realm besides humans (Nephilim, angelic & demonic beings) how would proof of alien life be bad news for God?

The notion that the discovery of a planet disproves God in any way is the epitome of ignorance and stupidity. Justin I'd like to think you are smarter than this.

The discovery of another planet doesn't disprove God. The discovery of life on another planet that has never heard of God does disprove. However, it also works the other way. Either way, this is a mute argument because we'll never know in our lifetime...

Unless God decided that it was time for the Rapture and/or the End Times. Which of course is assuming that there is a God. Which the End Times could entirely be possible in our lifetime, if their was a God.

That's assuming a lot, but I get your drift...

Of course there is.

There is a chance it could happen tomorrow.

There is a chance there is a God. There is a chance there isn't.

Anyone that deals with absolutes on the subject is the true moron.

And for the record, I believe there is a God. And he is Just.

But I also am not ignorant and arrogant enough to realize that there is a chance I am wrong.

I think it's fantastic that you think that way. That you believe in god but admit that you don't know for sure. I really respect and applaud you for that. It's a very rare thing.

Unfortunatly most religious types deal only in absolutes. Many would probably insult you for what you just said because you are supposed to have "faith".

Well, most people that have "faith", will probably think they are going to Hell if they ever outwardly admitted that. Even though there is some ounce of doubt in there own minds.

Every Christian on this Earth has doubted their own faith at one time or another. If he/she hasnt, then they are not being truthful.

I do believe. I believe there is a God. I believe he is just. I believe there is much more to all of this that we will never understand.

But I do recognize that I could be wrong. Don't believe I am. I hope I'm not. But I could be.

+1

This is an Enlightened way of grasping the concept of "God".

Rare indeed....as JC said.

Its inherent for Man, possessing the 3rd Brain Center and thus being capable of reason, to believe in a higher power, to have Faith. This is as much a natural part of Man as Eyes are. Far too few get themselves free of the Shepherds with bad Intentions here, be those bad intentions Greed, simple lust for power over one's fellow man or even more nefarious. Believe in what you do, what feels right to you.

Great example of truth and man's revision of truth (thus lie) is what was said was "I am a Way To The Father" but Men changed that to "I am the only way to The Father". The Monopoly on entry to Heaven = more money, more power. This is not complex stuff.

You don't need any Man or Woman to tell you who or what God is. And what "He Wants" from you. You don't need anyone telling you this stuff any more than you need someone to tell you how to Breathe. You were born with that knowledge. Inherently. Instinctively.

Don't let simple-minded servants of Avarice over complicate a thing that is really very very simple.
