There has been speculation about a Hamels/Papelbon deal, but I'm sure they'd want some top prospects. Probably Schwarber. I do think Schwarber probably best suits the Cubs as trade bait (we don't really have a spot for him), but would want something better than 2 "pretty good" pitchers who are past their primes.

Cubs' best move is to work with what they've got this year, and then try to land a SP in the offseason. Some big names hitting free agency and wouldn't have to mortgage the future.

Yep..Last 2 starts 6.1 innings.....14 earned runs.

He's only 31.....He should get a real good return.

I would keep him and get rid of Papelbon, Utley, and Ruiz.....

Phils have a couple nice prospects ready to come in and if Nola continues to do well, they have a nice one/two for next year....
