If the confederate flag is off limits at city hall, shouldn't that go for other flags?

Looks like Reno City Hall, replaced the stars and stripes with the rainbow flag. Are you lefties ok with this double standard?

To the OP: One flag was created to represent love and acceptance and one represents an an oppressive group of racist. I have a rebel flag and not for reasons of hate but there is no doubting where it comes from and what type of person generally flies it. Such a stupid comparison I cant even believe it.

What each flag means to you is a moot point. I'm not comparing the flags at all, and that's not the point. Whether or not a city/state building should fly any flag other than the the flag of the USA is the point. Old Glory is the flag that represents all the people, flying a flag that only represents a few, show's bias, and government shouldn't be biased to any group. The flag code here was broken, so someone will probably be fired over this.

The only people it doesnt represent are those who have purposely excluded themselves from it's all encompassing inclusion. I automatically assume that the people that would prefer to exclude themselves from a diverse world would also rather work than have MLK Day off but that's just me.

This country goes out of it's way to look as gay and politically correct as it can hence the decline. Was at its strongest when it was openly acceptable to tell a homeboy that he is only allowed in certain spots. Sorry, but it is true. This is why alot of old people don't like blacks but in this gay millenial age, they all do. It is cool to be gay now. And if you are black and gay, you are golden.

I'm actually pro gay and the LBGT movement, have been long before it was the norm. I'm also against confederate ideology. But I'm also for people doing what they want on their own property, and don't believe in bans. But when it comes to government property, nothing should fly above the USA flag, even if it is well intended.

That last part is misinformed though. Lots of information about how homophobic the African American community is, much more so than other demographic groups in the US.
