I have an approx 3"x2" tat I have been wanting to get removed. Went for a consult today at a dermatologist that uses PicoWay, which is the best and newest technology.

It's $1500 for 8 treatments.

Went on groupon and found a cosmetic surgery place that uses an ND-YAG laser, $199 for 3 treatments. Limit one package per customer. Over 70 bought with 96% of buyers who WOULD recommend.

I figured the way they get ya is by getting you started with the 3, then charging a ridiculous price for additional treatments. I called the place directly to ask about the cost of additional treatments beyond the 3 (since I'm pretty sure I'll need more), and they said they would honor the $199/3 price for as many packages of 3 I needed to get it to where I wanted it to be.

Seems too good to be true. I know the nd-yag is older technology and probably takes more treatments and hurts more, but the price is so appealing.

Anyone have any insight?

Are you removing Defyings name because he was fired?

I read somewhere that you can get a tattoo over a tattoo that will make the existing one invisible.
Basically they paint over the existing one with ink that is the same color as your skin.

Its still there but you can barely see it

I just need to get it faded a little bit so my tattoo guy can turn it into "RenoChazz" more easily.

I shouldn't have gotten the rainbow behind it though.

My sister in law got a japanese character when she was in high school. Probably same size as yours harry. She decided she didn't want it anymore so she went in for laser treatment. she said it was the worst pain ever. She did over 15 treatments (costed a few grand easy) and you can still see the tattoo just really faded. Looks 100 times worse. She should of kept it the only reason she decided to get rid of it was because it was her first childs dads name in japense or some stupid shit like that. I would just get a killer artist and have a coverup done.

I'm guessing hers had color in it? Mine is only black, which drastically increases my chance of success...

I would get the 3 for $199 and see what I thought. If you see some improvement, then maybe snag another 3 for $199. I would think that would be enough to lighten it for a nice cover up. If not, then maybe another 3, or even splurge for the $1500 and still not too bad in the pocket. I think I would only go for the $1500 if I wanted to try to remove the thing for good, hopefully.

There are some killer ones out there now that only do cover ups. That's where my money would go as well. Head outta town and make a vacation out of it...
