Skeptical of their chances considering y'all are scoring < 3 runs per game on the road. Worst offense in MLB. I don't care how much pitching you have.

Mets offense should be improved with additions, but it also desperately needed to be to contend. Not sure the offset will help them advance on but will be interesting to watch.

The National Spotlight, Sunday Night Baseball Mets needing the Sweep to retake the Division lead they've not held since June 19....to tie WAS for that at least. Stud Rookie Thor on the mound (3-0 with a 0.90 ERA and 11.40 strikeouts per nine innings over his past four games at Home, first Met to go eight innings in three straight home games since Al Leiter in 2001) vs. Jordan Zimmermann who is 5-0 with a 2.70 ERA in his last seven starts against the Mets - all ending in Washington wins.

Line Mets -117 looks like I feel about it, slight lean to Mets here bit mang The Sweep? To Reclaim #1 in the division? Versus the very team they're facing? On Sunday Night Baseball?

This alot of pressure on you guys.

I'd like the Under were it not for Torres possibly coming out the Bullpen.

For 98 games they had no offense and they are 1 game out of 1st place.....Now they just picked up 3 offensive players in Uribe,Johnson and Cespedes.

They will take the division....Just watch....Pitching has carried them for 98 games and look where they are with no offense......Now the offense has arrived.

Keep an eye on this thread for the next 58 games.

I don't doubt this, although Washington is very good as well so they won't make it easy.

Should be an interesting stretch.

I will be the 1st to say they had a horrid offense for 100 games.....Shutout 13 times.

With that said only 1 game out of the division....That means a lot.

Pitching is excellent.....Like I mentioned above getting those 3 players are going to help this team contend for the rest of the way.

I really see them over taking the Nats down the stretch.

Stay tuned....It should be a nice finish.

Good luck!

How could you not? See NYM overtaking WAS? Nats have had every opportunity & ongoing opportunity to build a lead in this Division and they've failed to do so. I'd say Gamblers know better than anyone, you fail to deliver The Killing Blow when opportunity is there to vanquish your opponent & end the battle, seal Victory and what happens? How many times have we seen this movie? Whats the Line on NYM to take the Division right now? I can't find it. If anyone can its certainly worth considering...

Somebody posted the division odds a couple of weeks ago when the Mets were 4 out......And it was just about even.

Worry about your Cubs fading into the night....Another 100 years.

First off, you don't need to post in big bold letters for us to read your comments.

Yeah I forgot about the Cespedes deal. We'll see how much it helps.

And we weren't even talking about the Cubs, we were talking about the Mets. So not sure how much sense it makes to trash the Cubs as part of your defense of the Mets.

BTW, people who bring up how long it's been since the Cubs have won a World Series, in the context of how good THIS CURRENT TEAM is/could be, are mental midgets and baseball idiots. It's such a tired ass insult. Surely you can do a little better than that.

DAMN. "Even" when they was 4 back??!!??

Line has gotta be horrific now with them just 1 back & heading into Sunday Night Baseball with a chance to tie for the Division Lead lol.

EV when NYM was down 4 games in The DIV suggests the Linesmakers have also "seen this movie before" and, like you cited, figure if Mets have hung around this well through their anemic offensive output stretch (pitching pitching pitching) then there is a great chance they take the Division.

But Jeez EV when they was 4 games back is totally shocking.

I'll post wherever the fuck I want.

Just to recap:

You: The Mets are going to win the division
Me: I'm skeptical, their offense sucks
You: The Cubs haven't won in 100 years!!!
Me: That's a dumb comeback
You: Leave my thread

Yeah, I'm done here. You're safe from my bad vibes for now.

You did post the thread offshore welcoming comments for and against your viewpoint. I get that HC and you don't meet eye to eye, but then again what die hard fans opposing would? Sort it out in the wildcard race!
