Just be decent and somehow someway even if 30 years from now, you are a Hall of Famer.

Was Tim Brown ever considered a top 3 receiver in the league? If you play so many years, you will have the numbers.

Congrats Bill Polian. No one would even know your name. You drafted Peyton Manning and put nothing around him. Put Manning on any 32 teams in the 2000's, they are guaranteed to be in the playoffs. You made the great hire named Tony Dungy; he was horrible and too stupid to be in the NFL. Defense was the same every down and so predictable.

Junior Seau: The guy is dead.

They have these guys from the 50's in there that played against farmers. I know I am better than them.

They argue if McNabb should be in there. He was never even a top 5 qb when he played and was too stupid to be an NFL qb.

What's next? Putting broadcasters in the NFL HOF? Maybe some equipment guys? Everyone is a Hall of Famer except Pete Rose.

When they talk about Peyton and others, they say something like "future Hall of Famer". No shit, just be average and you are in. It's like when they talk about pro bowlers. 16 teams in a conference. Be in the top 5 or 6 in your conference that year, you are a "pro bowler" because Brady and Manning will back out and then maybe the Steelers are in the SB so Ben will back out.

Vince Young is considered a bust ( as I predicted) he was in a pro Bowl.

You are so right.

Should only be the elite.

And for those who don't understand, there are 5 tiers of players:

Below Average
Average
Above Average
Star
Super Star

Only Super Stars, who are elite, should make any Hall Of Fame.

For example...Some people think Chris Paul is a Super Star. He's not. He's only a star.
Dwight Howard is not a Super Star. He's only a star.
And so on....

best definition I heard about who should be in the hall of fame.
the player must of been DOMINANT at his position for an extended period of time.

I like this analysis HACHE and it parallels my thoughts. The halls are just too big. It is not the best of the best, it consists of the best. It should be B of B for sure.
