What's up with the News ? Almost every Story is " Breaking News " WTF ??

Not sure if this is everywhere... but in NY... You get " Breaking News " all the time...

and the News is, there was a Car accident ( Nobody Killed )
Traffic is now Breaking News because a Truck is blocking a Lane...

Breaking News .... a Cat is stuck in a tree ... so Traffic is backed up...

Breaking News is when a Gunmen are in a Movie theater, shooting people. The Pres. was shot... a Bomb went off, a Plane Crash

IMO its nothing but a brainwashing scheme to have people glued to their TV......breaking news gets you psychologically thinking something big has happened.

In today's society, with today's technologies, our brains are trained into wanting more every waking moment......which means to keep our minds unbored.
