One of the best in his era to do it without roids. Dude is a lock to be in the HOF. Guy was almost as tough an out as gwynn but was a much better fielder with some speed. With such a small fame he would get his body into throws and throw some seeds from the outfield.
Fun to watch and as about as reliably great from year to year during his prime. He had a 10-year stretch that earned him entry into the hall. Notwithstanding, another 5 years in mlb certainly gives him an honest shot at 4000. Still, he is a HOFer to me.

I started the thread because the other day there were comments all over the net regarding total number of hits Ichiro was up to.... including his Jap hits.
Cooperstown is known to be a screwed up mess in regard to who is "in" and who remains"out". They really need to restructure the entire group of who gets to vote. Or..... Just blow the damn place up and start over....... with Pete, Bonds, and Clemens included right off the bat!
In recent years (10-15 and more) every decent sized town has some "Joe Know It All"..... who can teach your kid to get an NCAA scholarship...... and even more so..... become a pro athlete.
Yes many of these "Academies" are for baseball....... but kids are more attracted to football and basketball..... or even individual sports like golf or tennis.
Of course.... the trainers are lipping full of shit and only want to get paid...... but parents and kids are very gullible.
Baseball loses out in all this and..... so the influx of more non-American players. And baseball is REALLY BIG BUSINESS in Cuba, Central, and South America.
