Worldwide cheaters exposed / Ashley Madison hacked

Turns out most of the clients are males and many of the female profiles were faked. The female profiles were created by the Ashley Madison company to create more traffic.

Many do no expect Ashley Madison to survive this hack.

Read that Josh Duggar (from the 19 kids Tv show who is a big family values activist, etc) was on there.

I don't understand how the site works if most of the females are fake. Isn't the point to have an actual affair? The fake profiles would work if you wanted to just talk and email back and forth but I would just assume that's some weirdo guy pretending to be a girl anyway. But if the point is to meet up and have an affair, a fake profile isn't going to work?

I don't think its quite as simple as opening up an attachment and reading the list. These hackers released it but I think the main point was to release it to other hackers (because besides just names, it has addresses, credit card info, etc.). Obviously the info is out there because certain names are being slowly released but based on how they released it and the sheer volume of the information, I don't think its a document you want to open yourself. Or maybe I'm just a novice at this stuff and it is pretty simple to open and view.

a person I know posted on facebook, she had gotten list and posted it calling out a client's husband.
Very sad, thinks she is judge and jury. It was taken down later. but unfortunately think damage is done.
