someone goes all-in, 2 guys call (3 players overall)

flop comes 3 clubs, first to act about to lead out and other player with chips says "why would you even think about betting here? no point in betting, dry side pot"
someone says he can't talk there. he replies "I am in the hand, I have chips, I can talk"

what's the ruling here?

He cant talk, there is still someone left to act... if they were playing one on one (heads-up) is different (some casinos enforce it others don't) but any comment about the hand should be hushed until they are heads up to the very least... very poor etiquette.

Then again, if every player playing knows each and they are friends and its a friendly living room game is not a big deal.

next question.

Board comes down 4 spades.....4 players all checked the river. one guy flashes a 3 of spades....2 muck no spades....last guy shows 2 blanks (no spades no pair)......he says "3 spades what is your other card?".....guy with flushes quickly buries his other card and shuffles the cards (as a joke)....first guy says "you have to show both cards"

what's the ruling?

the first play is HIGHLY unethical and that player should be reprimanded and IMHO should be made to miss a round.
think of it from the all in player's perspective, those comments are the equivalent of collusion against him.

the guy who didn't show both cards has a dead hand and CAN NOT win the pot as long as some
one else is still in and has not mucked a live hand containing 2 cards. one must show both cards on the river on a called bet or a
checked river to verify that both cards are live (don't duplicate any other card on the board or in another player's
hand). that scenario would void the hand and return the pot to the players' who built it in the amount of their
individual bets.

sounds like the players in this tournament were inexperienced and weak.

hope this helps.

Guy who showed blanks is right, I believe the guy with the 3 of spades has to show both cards.

Not sure what the ruling would be if he buried his other card in the muck. Probably just a warning but potentially a time penalty.

guy who showed 2 blanks made the winner give him the chips.

he asked the other two mucks if either had a pair....they both said no.....I wonder what happens if they said they had a pair and it was in the muck or even buried in there.

it was a home tournament. There are about 60-70 ppl in someone's house....no dealers, bb shuffles.....good mix of experienced and inexperienced players

And the guy who had the 3 of spades was just like "ok"? I would have told the other guy to eat a dick.

He thought it was all jokes until the owner was called and he was the last guy smiling.

I would've given him the pot and tell him next time to show two.....in the panic he said he had the nut flush.....hahaha

one could infer that this tourney was not being held at a big time casino
by the players' actions. although there is usually positive equity in an
event like this due to the amount of dead money from very poor players;
I rarely compete here for two reasons. the play is abysmally slow or
the limits rise so fast as to negate much of the skill factor.
