Good luck Jay! IMO Jays games down the road now in September will present a lot of opportunity/value on their opponent. I know you made a killing riding them since the trades and all of August. What they did in August will not come easy in September now. Their lines will continue to be grossly inflated and I think their opponents will have some great value. We saw a couple of duds against Cle and Bal (even though they won the series in both). Just wanted to get your take on them? Do you think they continue their torrid pace?
Jays in battle for first with Yanks will be big motivation for winning. Yes, I agree with your statement on the value on taking the opponent as lines will be inflated. You have to pick your spots with the Jays, and perhaps more so as we get closer to Oct. Yesterday was a great day to hit Boston. My gut was telling me Boston, but I couldn't do it. We do know that the Jays will be playing hard and they definitely have the defense and firepower to play hard. We also know that they are going to lose down the road and we have to find the value in taking the opponent when we feel they are outmatched. This might be harder for me to do. I can identify my lack of pulling the trigger on the opponent on these occasions and this and I hope to become better at doing. NOT betting the game will save me money every time. I got to play dogs more often.
Anyways, I liked the Jays tonight for many reasons. With two of these reasons being.... First, I thought Owens would have been rocked tonight for early runs and then the fact the Jays are hitting well against Lefties. I liked the over also because his knuckle ball hasn't been the best of what we have seen, and being on the road he gives up runs. Although, Dickey has been playing well against Boston, but he still has given up many runs on the road!!
I will continue to look at the Jays for opportunity to hit them. Just got to pick my spots with them. But, if it was only that easy right?
I don't think the Jays are going to continue playing at this torrid pace. Let's be honest. As it gets colder the runs will get harder to come by. I would love to see them keep the tempo up and won't be disappointed if they do so. What will win games for the Jays is the depth they have. Look at Martin tonight with the throw to second base for Tulo to tag Castillo who was running for Ortiz. Martin is the man (besides his batting). They have a great cast that contribute. The D for the Jays is going to win games and I like that value alone. Jays are dangerous.
Gibbons is managing smart. We have a good, healthy, and rested bullpen. The bullpen came out big for us tonight. Putting Mark B in yesterday I think was calculated to give him extra rest and put him in to see how he could perform as his arm is shot. Perhaps Gibbons thought this game was a throw away already. It would still been a tough game for the Jays regardless, but not a must win game.

I liked the Jays tonight and thought it would be a 10+ game for Jays. Too bad they couldn't take advantage of runners in scoring position... otherwise it would have been a great night.
