homer alert, just in some don't know that, but I'm thinking Patriots may be playing with an extra chip on their shoulder much like 2007, the year following "spy gate" when they went 16-0.

it helps to have a healthy Gronk, and the Steelers will be missing their best option on offense. (no, the Pats won't miss Blount, they're RBBC)

large play on the Pats, especially for an opening day play

:homer:

good luck all

Im worried about the offensive line play of the Pats.....No Stork, some young guys in there since Connolly retired. I hope I'm wrong I just don't want to see Brady with happy feet back there.
Never a good sign.

Now theres lots of motivation out there for a stellar performance, but in all likely hood they maybe grinding out some wins or lose a few close ones early this season while they get the offense in gear.

I won't make a decision until tonight but I may be having a hard time laying 7 against Pitt in the season opener.

I agree the Pats have a chip on their shoulder, especially Brady being embarrassed all off season & being dragged thru the mud by the commissioner & coming out smelling like roses.

I won't be playing this game because Pitt could still get that back door & Pats the SU win, but if I was forced to play it, yes, the Pats -6.5 (if you can get it) is a good bet.......also, the Pats in a 6 point teaser should be very solid IMO........

Scott Chandler is not chopped liver either.
RBBC I hope Tavaris Cadet is healthy enough to play. Pats are high on him and Deion Lewis.

Oh by the way haters, ESPN is already back peddling on their pay back hit piece.

Starting RB for Pitt is out & their starting center is out, that's huge........Pats should win for sure & possibly cover.

Super Bowl champs usually have solid ats record week 1 the following season.

Just the opposite the Super Bowl loser typically loses ats week 1. Someone else can dig up the records, I don't feel like it.
