This time of the season...I like to go with teams who still have something to play for.
The Twins are alive and kickin for a wild card spot.....1 game behind the Rangers for the 2nd wild card.....Tigers pretty much quit on Asmus...He`s done at the end of the season.
Nobody`s talking about the Indians 13-5 last 18.....4.5 back in the wild card standings with 19 to play....I`m watching them though.....Not dead yet....Plus I like going against the Royals when they are a dog....And that doesn`t happen to often.
Desperation game for the Astros....Win and they take a 1.5 game lead...Lose and the Rangers take over 1st place....Collin McHugh is having a nice season at 16-7....Plus he is 2-0 against the Rangers this season with a 1.50 ERA.
Orioles are done....Don`t tell the Orioles that though....6 back in the wild card standings....Orioles play hard for Buck no matter what.....Plus I like the steam on this line.....Orioles opened up at -111 steamed up to -135.
I`m going to make the Orioles my best bet out of the 4 and they will be my only straight play.....Not only do I like the steam on the Orioles 24 cent move...I like it because it probably shouldn`t be.....What I mean by that is...Joe Kelly is on fire...He has won 8 starts in a row....In my opinion the line should have stayed at -111 just on his stats alone....Like I said I`ll follow the steam move.
