Browns coach Mike Pettine will discuss the team's decision at his 12:25 p.m. ET news conference Wednesday.
Manziel is returning to his backup role just days after getting the first win of his career. The 2012 Heisman Trophy winner, who has overcome personal issues since joining the Browns, threw two long touchdown passes in a 28-14 win over Tennessee on Sunday. He completed eight of 15 pass attempts for 172 yards but had two more fumbles, giving him four in two games.

If I were a top qb prospect, I would pull an Eli to get as far away from the Browns as possible. Seems like coaching/ front office is a new regime every 2 years.

Brady Quinn, Weeden, Manziel and that is just last 6 or so years.
