A friend hit a trifecta last weekend and it paid 2400.00. Monday morning he got an email stating that he could no longer bet exactas, trifectas, or superfectas. Plus he was limited to 10.00 win, place, or show bets. Why would anyone bet with a sportsbook that will cut you off if you win. Is this common practice?

Back in the 80's through the mid 90's, before offshore wagering, local BMs would take action on greyhounds and horses. If you beat them up enough, they would say no more of that. I see this as not all that different, although you would generally have to exhibit that you had talent and weren't just lucky.
I dont see a problem in limiting a player or closing their account IF paid in full every time first and also not limiting them to an unfair bet size until rollover is cleared.
Bovada is protecting themselves over the long haul and that is a smart move and actually makes betting their for the rest of us safer.

I believe Pinnacle never cut off a better unless it was horse racing. Now I believe Pinnacle has done away with horse racing.
Many of these offshore betting companies I trust more than American companies.
