Denver's D is great, but I keep thinking Peyton's arm is going to do them in.

I did bet them in week one, got one of them lucky covers, but have been on the wrong side the last two weeks

How many 20 yard jump ball Hail Mary's can he complete? I'm sitting there thinking you've got to be kidding me, another one of those?

Thomas and Sanders are special, probably the best 1/2 punch in the game.

And Peyton's last TD pass was a great play, read the defense and threw a perfect loft right on the money.

but those jump balls are killing me

Even worse is listening to Chris Collinsworth saying " who says Peyton can't make the throws anymore". What's that guy watching?

peyton still great at finding matchup advantages and those two receivers are really good in one on one situations.

Detriot is always the dumbest team on the field. 14-12 and Denver misses 53 yd fg......negated by illegal formation on Detroit. That was the game there imo. Inexcusable penalty.

I know, and until that last TD I was thinking "I just lost a game because 7 guys lines up the left of the center on a FG attempt", what? and the 7th dude walked on the field late and just stood there, whatever

calls like that are not football, that's some charade

I don't get how that can happen. The guy is walking on the field looking like he's unsure if he's supposed to be out there. What goes on in Detroit practices and special teams meetings during the week?

14-12 and ball close to midfield there.....Detroit chances of winning or covering are pretty good. I hate betting the dumber team......but I did.

Amazing how overmatched Caldwell teams are every week. This dope calls a timeout before Denver 4 and 1 before the half, and his defense still gets beat for a 50 td td.

Sometimes it's hard to figure out what's dumber: the teams and their coaching getting called for these penalties, or all these inane rules and interpretation of them.

Last week: record for most penalties in one week, most reviews in one week. And somehow people can't get enough of this product.

Speaking of.....wasn't that Stafford fumble an incomplete pass? Arm forward......what did I must there?

NFL is getting worse and worse.

Who knows.. You could have 3 different officiating crews and all 3 would come up with something different. Triplettes crew last night had at least 3 plays reversed by replay. How can you be that bad.

That was one of the worst reffed games of the year. Very bad.

As for Denver, it's smoke and mirrors. Brady or Rogers would expose that defense very quickly. They are good but they're nowhere near great. Another Manning face season is in the works in Denver.

QFT

what annoys me most are two things

1) silly rules like you have to have exactly 6 players on one side and 5 players on the other side of a FG attempt, it's just not football

2) the increased and increasing subjectivity given to refs, which opens the doors to more and more and more inconsistent interpretations of the rules

Roger's NFL

I long for the good ole days when the only real bitch was about inconsistent offensive holding calls.

Now it's about a pinky finger braising the helmet being called a blow to the head, jumping into the neutral zone and drama classes for offensive linemen, where you're standing before the ball is snapped on special teams, when to blow or not blow the whistle and I don't even know where to begin with respect to illegal contact calls

Roger's NFL is fucked up

I can't wait, I don't think Peyton is going to be very difficult for Belichick to game plan for, I just don't see it

unless something changes with respect to arm strength

Well it's never "easy"...I'm sure Belichick would say that...BUT...I don't see how Denver can keep pace with them. Their D will make some good plays and some drives will be stopped, but I can't see them keeping up on the scoring end. Let's just hope Brady and company stay healthy. QB's are dropping like flies right now. It's still real early. I don't like getting too excited until December. Too much crap can happen. BUT...No doubt about it...PATS look DAMN GOOD right now!
