Oregon shooting: Initial reports of 10 dead at Umpqua Community College.

CNN)Preliminary information indicates 10 people were killed and more than 20 others injured in a shooting at Oregon's Umpqua Community College on Thursday, said Oregon State Police spokesman Bill Fugate.

The reports suggest the shooter has been detained, he said.

Earlier, authorities told CNN they were responding to reports of an active shooter at the Roseburg college campus.

Roseburg is a city of about 22,000 people located about 70 miles south of Eugene, Oregon, and some 180 miles south of Portland.

Well.......it will only get worse until they try & ban guns.......& I highly doubt we will.ever see a banning of guns w/o serious repercussions.

Americans will never hand over their guns......then again, we slowly gave up some freedoms after 9-11......so anything is possible.

The gunman who opened fire at Umpqua Community College in Oregon asked victims to state their religion before opening fire, according to multiple reports. An 18-year-old student told the News-Review newspaper that the gunman, after shooting her teacher in the head through a window, told people to get on the ground. He then told people to stand up and state their religion before opening fire. Twitter user @BodhiLooney, who said her grandma was at the school, said the shooter asked people if they were Christian. "If they said yes, then they were shot in the head," she wrote. "If they said no, or didn't answer, they were shot in the legs."

Just got to hear Barry O give us another lecture on gun control. What a fucking asshole.

Here's the issue I have: Most of us agree there should be some sort of "change" or "gun control"....but I don't see the Left giving us a proposal. Just a bunch of talk. There is this thing called The Constitution....and the 2nd Amendment. So if they want "gun control" they need to give us a reasonable proposal. The cities and states w/ the strictest "gun control" seem to have the highest murder rates (Chicago, DC, NYC, Detroit).....and are all led be democrats. Go figure.

Blame to guns. No blame put on the nut jobs who do this. Its not that hard of thing to control. Guns will never be outlawed and there is no way to keep guns out of the hands of the wack jobs. Solution would be to arm people of authority in these places.
