I can't resist playing this game because it gives me an opportunity to rub it in to anyone that thinks the players make all the difference while ignoring how important coaching can be.

I pointed out a couple of months ago that it would be wise not to write off the Huskies or Chris Petersen, their head coach even if the entire team returned just 4 starters. I really can't explain how he does iwho t but Petersen makes silk out of a sow's ear time and time again.
Now on the other hand, here's Sarkisian whom I have expressed my dislike for as a coach with no killer insrinct time and time again (and yet again).

These things make betting this game quite simple..

UW+16.5/USC

Thanks for the play, Conan!

17 (which is the line I can get now) is way too many points to give to a Chris Peterson coached UW team. This will be a dogfight.

I see the Trojans winning by 7, maybe 10 points TOPS.
LOVE the play. :toast:

no

I also want to say that this play was made possible by all of the sportswriters who were hyping USC all summer and spreading around a lot of negativity about UW because Peterson's players from last year Imoved on en mass..

Well I explained how Peterson has his own way of taking a bunch of nobodies and quickly making winners out of them as well as introducing us to next year's playmakers. He did so at Boise a couple of times as I recall.
These thigs I find compelling along with an understanding about Steve Sarkisian from seeing for myself how he somehow diluted Pete Carrol's "must see TV" offense which made USC far less exciting to watch.

I might also add that the man Sarkisian replaced was none other than Lane Kiffin who I respect along with Nick Saoban who thought highly enough of Kiffin to make him his OC as Pete Caroll did too back when.
I mean to tell you that I know these things to be the Gods honest truth.

This play is pretty s trong for a stoingle unit. I don't often play anything more than that. But I increase the size of my wagers as my bankroll grows during the season from a high winning percentage.

Seems like a pretty good spot too. Both teams have extra prep time but USC sitting fat and happy after that big ASU win and Washington having to sit on a tough loss (ATS win) vs Cal.

A very misleading scoreboard for USC vs. ASU likely inflates this line as well. ASU's back breaking turnovers produced a blowout scoreboard but they moved the ball well all night, especially to the tune of 182 rushing yards.

Great to see you posting again Conan, love your imput on the Pac 12. I will stay away from this game personally for many reasons, mostly that USC will score at will and it may become a blowout for the road team with a true freshman QB. Lots of emotion going in this game with Sark playing his old team (and recruited players) but as you noted the only problem is... Sark is SC's coach. Can he change his rep for no killer instinct and did the loss to Stanford make him realize that he can't take his foot off the gas? The jury is still out. Good luck Conan!

Both of Washington's losses have come against quality teams (Boise State and California), and both losses came by single digits.

One of the biggest things Washington has going for it is the fact that the Trojans take on Notre Dame in the contest after this one. Trap games are a real thing in college football, and USC has found itself in many trap games over the years.

I've rarely seen a Chris Peterson coached team get completely routed and dominated after having a week off to prepare, but stranger things have happened. Like Conan, I also respect what Peterson does coaching wise. He'll have his kids fired up, despite the disparity in talent. I consider Peterson to be in the upper tier of coaches, and a master motivator.

Here's some technical info I found very interesting supporting Washington plus the big points as a play here. USC is 1-7 ATS as weekday favorites of 6 or more points.

I genuinely believe Conan has a winner in this play. We'll find out soon enough. :)!/

I doubt that Sarkisian's values will ever change. He does what He does the way he does it because he bases his personality on just being a nice guy... Which he definitely is kind of like Mother Teresa is a nice woman. That work in the game of coaching college football. He'll win his share of games but he wont win championships... Kind of like that.

To all the new people that don,'t know me...
This is why I get 10000 views in 2 days. I'm not perfect and I'm probably not the smartist or best informed but I know the "nut" when I see it and what you will read in my posts is genuine.

Something I learned tonight was that USC gets the best players in LA and Chris Peterson gets the rest of the best players in LA.

Whoever agreed with me and said this would be a dogfight was right... But who'd have thunk Udub would vbe the bigger mutt of the 2.

PS... Buddha Baker. Future Sunday star.

Great call man, USC is just way too soft of a team. Wish I had joined the party.
